Banfield to the sub, Dudley out.

Banners can come in and play the most roles. Handy as a sub. If Young is ready then we play him.

The Pearce injury is worry due to his history. We can't afford for him to come back in and to lose him part way through the game. Hopefully he is back sometime in the next three. Wouldn't mind him to have his come back game against WCE. We should win that even if he is short of a run.

The two after that are Carlton and Brisbane. Hoping he is back for Wce.

Frampton. He always solid.

Frampton possible but not looking likely from the Pies board.

Mihocek will probably return. Some suggestion that they may send McStay back and stick with Cameron and Cox in the ruck/forward.

More importantly they have some other outs like their speedsters in Hill and McCreery who quite possibly won't be back this week either, and I guess they've got some decisions now as to their midfield starters with Josh Daicos having such a massive game for them when he went into the midfield against Gold Coast and that playing Long and Mitchell together was too much of the same kind of player in their midfield.

We won both clearances and contest possessions last time but they outscored us with only 34 inside 50's to our 62 times inside 50m.

Probably expect a different kind of game. Surely Elliot can't kick another 6 against us, but he's someone we've never had a match up for.

Daicos the younger had the ankle and ribs so wouldn’t be surprised if he’s managed.

For us I doubt we get any changes other then young to sub (as Jlo flagged already) for Dudley

Walker > Banfield
Young > Dudley

Obviously if Moose is fit he comes in, but I have a fair bit of faith in OMac. I actually don’t think we’re losing much with him in the side, he’s much better ball in band then Pearce.

Won't happen, but thought Johnson was seriously bad again. 52% disposal efficiency and his awareness hasn't improved at all.

On paper his game wasn't terrible but to the eye it was horrendous. Totally melted in a finals like cauldron. Barring injury I'd be sending him and Erasmus to Peel for the rest of the season.

I wouldn't be rushing Young back. He's the difference between us being a contender this year and not. Leave him for the Carlton game, we made the wrong call with Pearce and can't make the same mistake again.

We looked slow last night at times, need more pace.

In - Sharp, Walker.
Out - Johnson, Dudley.

Banfield the sub. O'driscoll and Wagner to cover Johnson's inside minutes.

Walker in for Banfield, and I still feel like we’re a touch too tall, but not quite sure how they fix that.

I’d leave Young and Pearce for another week, bring him back for the Derby.

It's extraordinarily hard to drop anyone after a team effort that laid 100 tackles and steamrolled them in the last quarter. We had no passengers.
The suspicion is we're too tall and Voss who has done nothing wrong will eventually have to make way for another runner. But after that effort and with no Peel game I wouldn't be adverse to no change.

Some of these comments lol. No chance JOM OR Johnson are even close to being dropped.

The most vulnerable by a long way are Dudley, McDonald, and Banfield.

JL said Pearce was not injured, the spike in running last week and six day break contributed to him missing. Apparently a good chance to return.

Therefore, I'd like to see Pearce and Young in and McDonald and Banfield out. Walker is a maybe.

We're close to our best possible team, albeit Young and Pearce will not be at their best obviously.

We brought Pearce back last year with the arm and he lasted one game. This year we brought him back from the leg and he lasted one game.

Oscar McDonald is handy, I'd leave Pearce for the Port game to get a few runs under his belt before finals.

WC and Carlton are no good, if we can't beat them without Pearce we don't deserve to play finals.

Sharp and Erasmus were dropped for performances that weren't as bad as Johnson last night.

I don't expect him to be dropped but it's a possibility and warranted.

If Young is right to go, id bring him in. Wags back to def. Dudley out

banners sub offering the versatility and insurance to cover.

Although big ground with a team that plays fast transition maybe not good for youngs hammy first up

Ridiculous. Ras had his string of games and Sharp was poor all year. Both are well outside B23.

You show your lack of football understanding as you constantly focus on stats. You aren't seeing the things JOM Johnson are doing to protect their team mates, make space, block, position.

JOM didn't have his best night ball in hand but his leadership was there all night, smashing into Newcomb, protecting our other mids. Johnson I have seen him actively blocking for Brayshaw and Serong, and he did a lot of hard defensive running.

You keep focussing on stats though.
