It runs deeper than that. Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • 2017 & 2020: Missed the entire seasons due to injury.

  • 2019: Missed the remainder of the season after fracturing his ankle in Round 11.

  • 2021: Missed part of the season with a knee injury.

  • 2024: Missed a portion of the season due to a fractured forearm and other leg pain.

  • 2022-2023: Missed 9 and 2 games due to groin injuries respectively.
How many game has brayshaw and serong missed ? It more the point he riddled with ongoing issues. Brayshaw and serong are the true heart of the club. Pearce is a great player just not captain material

Cool if he wasn’t captain material he wouldn’t be unanimously voted in as captain every year 👍

Goes beyond just game day. The women’s team voted in their captain after she did an ACL. Fans having their say about who should be captain makes no sense

Your right doesn’t mean we can’t have an opinion

Pearce still injured with unknown return date and now lacking match fitness and touch. Recurrence would be high on the cards. Thirty one in June, time to urgently plan for a quality key defender and quality small crumbing forward also. Omac is a bandaid that likely won't even stem the flow of blood and could fall off at any moment.

Dan Houston out for the Pies. Backline looking like a place to expose.
No Howe, no Houston. Might have to play Josh Daicos back for whole game

They accounted for us fairly comfortably last time with a decent list of outs/rested players at Optus. Granted their defense was a big factor that game but I'm still reticent to give us anything than a very remote chance at an upset.

Only because Elliot had a career game, if Elliot didn't play Freo probably win. Dominated every stat.

I like the idea of playing Voss on Moore if we can.
Voss is a competitor, and it will place Maynard on Treacy.
Unless Billy Frampton gets up. Good CBC boy

I don't think they beat us comfortably at all.

We kick straighter and it's probably a win.

Last game we had 60 inside fifties for 6 marks inside fifty.
Pies had 14 marks inside fifty from 34 inside fifties.

We had 20 to 8 centre clearances, we need to be dominant like that again.

Johnson missing three shots at goal, Amiss missing two - both for no goals - we can do without that again.

True but this is just characteristic of the best sides. Someone stands up.

They had us at arms length after the first 15 mins IMO. The difference in efficiency was absurd at times. We really squandered a huge chance given we probably won't benefit from that level of midfield dominance again this Sunday.

Definitely not saying we can't win but Collingwood are a well-drilled outfit. It's a long shot even with their outs.

I like it. If Frampton doesn't get up they will not have enough KPDs. Tag out the interceptor.
Frampton and Houston out according to this.

It almost makes me more nervous though. That drawn game last year they came over with a lot of injuries and still played the same. Not having many interceptors in the backline might be a bridge too far though.

Either way, now a win will also be downgraded as no big deal since the Pies had injuries.

gonna have to be a big game from our talls here. besideds treacy, theyre contested marking has not been a hgihlight lately, thats where we can get the ascendancy

It felt like that because we missed so many easy shots and then let them score easily the other way.
