Don’t see the correlation between Johnson trying to break through tackles and speed.

He’d have Erasmus and Young covered in speed by a considerable margin.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him break into a full sprint before. Quicker then those two sure but wouldn’t be calling him one of our faster players.

Makes sense. Young to start on the bench as he’s on limited minutes. Hopefully next week he’s named on field, and then Jackson starts up forward?
Do we need Jackson up forward more? Isn't he better used in the mid?

Geez, WC didn't make many changes. I suppose they figure they only played one really terrible quarter last week, regardless of the opposition.

As our group matures I want to see us stop playing down to the opposition. Preferably that would be this game but I don't have high hopes. Hope the boys throw everything at the Eagles to try get some extra percentage. We have two home games in a row, no excuses.

West Coast have Flynn and Williams as rucks.
Will be a battle tbh.

Really need to get the mindset right and respect the opposition. It’s not a bad looking team, albeit raw.

Archer Reid and Shanahan will stretch OMac and Cox.

Their midfield probably sucks. Kelly will be the one to focus on due to his lack of defensive capabilities

Geez that image of HR standing over Serong still enrages me today.

HR is a punk and the media conversations around the money his manager is demanding enrages me even more but then again Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware comes to mind.

He will continue to be an impetuous, self centred thug and hot head, albeit a well paid one.

Please keep him WC.

I'm not sure he plays a role where he is going to break into a full sprint over a decent distance. What he has shown is a good burst out of congestion, and a neat sidestep. He doesn't kick many goals, but if you look at the highlights of the last few derbies there are some goals he kicked where you can see his movement.

Clark, Walker, Wagner, Freddy, Bolton, Sharp, Switta, Sturt (when fit) all have him covered. But that's no shame, as they are genuinely elite for speed and a couple are outside the side. I'd put him in the next bracket for speed alongside NOD and Chapman. If he's about 6th-8th quickest in our best 23, does this make him one of our faster players? Depends how you define that.

Regarding our percentage predicament and the close state of the top-eight

We've obviously been humming with rotations, player management so on.

Those things considered, do we risk possibly upsetting our gameplan and player management by going all in and overclocking our team to really go all-in on some very important percentage building or keep on humming, playing conservatively and doing what we do to bank the four points?

Keep in mind, that percentage could be the difference between, dare I say a top-four spot or a home or away elimination final?
