I think we need another mid. MJ does a lot of running and work off the ball in addition to bullocking toil on the inside and that slack will fall to O'Meara and Young who I don't think is ready for that level of physical duress. I have to assume Young's minutes are going to be heavily managed for the next few weeks to get him cherry ripe for finals. I would probably go for Raz and have him wear Harley like a glove.

we can get away being a bit lighter in the midfield against the Weags but not against Carlton and Port.

They're so devoid of talent that all their young talent that you'd rate as basically solid nice AFL players are thought of as genuine exciting match winners. Hewitt, Ginbey, Hough, Maric, Dewar (to a lesser extent Williams, I like him more than you) are your nice to have AFL players, not bankable stars.

Shanahan and Reid (MAYBE McCarthy, too few games to tell) are the only ones you'd back to be genuine A-graders as it stands. That's like 6 a-graders short ASSUMING Shanahan comes on and Reid stays

Hewitt, Ginbey and Hough will be B Graders. The types that’d get games for pretty much every team in the competition but be a star at none. Hewitt could be the one that might be A Grade.

The three you’ve mentioned should be very good. Wouldn’t rule out Bo Allan yet either - I was impressed at Peel last year.

I’ve seen some very average looking prospects become very good (Waterman from them is a decent example) but I don’t really see it beyond being fringe AFL players with the remainder of their youngsters. They need two massive drafts before Tasmania come in.

Yea Jonno actually did a good job of quelling HR last time (had the perfect attributes for it ) but kinda feel he ll be priming himself for a big one (especially considering the contract terms his management has just dropped)

He’s basically the only player that can ignite that rabble of a club to even remotely causing an upset this time and he at least has proven form there before so he ll for sure have confidence (not like he’s lacking in that department)yeah I’d go Ras as tight tag on him as well - which I think benefits Ras development as well

Yeah a few podcasts suggested this and when you think about it, makes sense. Is a likely replacement on the wing, deserves another chance after a strong campaign last year.

I don't mean a hard tag. I mean how the Fyfe and Danger play on each other type thing. The difference being young is far more damaging than Reid is at the moment.
