Bit stiff on Will Brodie, emergency one week, close if not best on ground for peel and then can't even be in the emergencies the next, when we are crying out for a big inside mid. Oh well.

Wagner pulled up sore after last training session.
Now there is a soft player. Worner or Chapman can sort him out.
Don’t like being the bearer of bad news, but have heard from a very credible source that the boys are sick. Don’t know how many, but I’m assuming a bunch. Here’s hoping that, for at least some of them, it started for the Carlton game and they’re better now.
Just speculating but that might be part of the reason why Fyfe and Pearce flew over yesterday. Might also have been a contributing factor to Wagner not being selected.

What's with the negativity on Cox? He's legitimately been solid as hell in the back half of the season, especially in those games when we were under siege...I'll back him to contain Georgiades, especially if the pressure up the field is good..

It's the matchup not Cox and his form. Georgiades is their #1 target by a mile, he's faster than Cox and jumps higher than Cox.
Goes without saying if the pressure is good upfield than defenders do their job better..
They said earlier in the week that Worner trained away from the group due to illness so I’d say some were impacted last week.

Fair enough, but I still feel like Cox doesn't get enough credit for his one-one-one defence, even if he is a bit suspect with someone quick on the lead...I dare say that he'll start on Georgiades and get help from Pearce, much like how they defended Sam Darcy earlier in the year...
