Will be interesting to see what the selection committee does next week for our last game.

As some suggest, will there be any guys given a final run to see what they have to offer or will it be the usual ins / outs based on our opposition.

Anyways, I would like a more senior side named containing players that I think will be around beyond this year and omit some guys that I think clearly struggled today.

Ins - Keays, Harwood, Berry (if fit), Cutler
Outs - Close, Allison, McCluggage, Barrett

Allison was fine imo. Clugg wasn't great but he was going in for the ball way more than I had ever seen. And was still able to create at times despite some really poor moments of indecisiveness or turning it over. Close has some good efforts but still showing that inability to jump up the next level. Thought Barrett looked limited.

I think Harwood might be injured but if not I'd bring him in for Barrett. If Berry is fit instant in and probably for Close, Hipwood and Walker seem to function well enough.

Honestly mccluggage looks cooked an early finish wouldn't hurt him

He definitely looks tired at times but he's made it this far and still able to show glimpses. I'd let him see out the season. There's no one else really screaming to do what he can and I loved seeing him at the bottom of the packs trying to win the ball.

This last game is a major battle for us - not about the spoon but about finishing on a high and demonstrating that we are a team on the rise. The players need to go away with the feeling of winning so they are hungry for the preseason.

I don't think anyone will be given a game as a farewells or whatever - every player will be selected for the purpose of winning the game.

Completely agree, his slight frame has taken its toll this season but gonna be a great player once he has something resembling an AFL body (gonna take another 2 pre-seasons). Clugga out, Keays in.

Out: Clugg, Close, Barrett
In: Bewick, McInerney, Keays

Clugg has been pretty poor for a while now. Would rather Bewick to give us a better chance of winning.

Hasn't worked with Close forward and Walker is average in the ruck. North will probably play 2 rucks so give Big O a chance.

Barrett is just a hopeless footballer. Keays has a future in the team and can play at least as good as Barrett in the forwardline.

If Berrys fit he plays.

Don't know about gifting games to blokes who are more than likely getting cut from the list at the end of the season. They've had 21 games to prove themselves don't think 1 game is going to make a difference.

I will give Freeman a go in the hope that he kicks a couple and maybe then can be used in a trade

Really dont understand some people. Got 3 goals last week and everyone loves him, plays poorly this week and calling for him to be dropped. In saying that, l would prefer Keyes to have his spot.

Don't like this 3 tall system. Would like 2 talls and a 3rd tall that can lead. Wouldn't risk Berry even if he is fit

In: Keyes, Dawson
Out: Barrett, Close

Read your first paragraph again. Maybe proof read your posts more often.

I know exactly what I said. Not sure if l have ever wanted Barrett to be a permanent forward for us. Have always prefered Keyes.
Nah, l don't care enough to change style, let alone proof
Probably dont need to tag me if you are replying to my post...

I really rated Dawsons performance in the NEAFL his strength in getting the ball contested and hand passing it was quite impressive along with his ability to mark and goal. I reckon this would be a great game to bring him in and play him forward.

Out: Barrett & Close
In: Berry & Dawson

Walker & Hipwood as our 2 tall targets up forward. Dawson as a lead up 3rd tall type

We need to win to avoid the spoon - we are not going to hand out games.

Only change would be Berry in if fit maybe for c beams.

I think some are being harsh on mccluggage -imo no way does he get dropped. I thought today he did some really nice stuff. Maybe some need to look at that rather than just a few mistakes here and there.
