Going to be funny when TB captains this side in a few years.
Shuey had multiple direct turnovers coming out of the back line yesterday and no one is calling for his head.
Yep, there were a few from a handful of players. We won't likely (hopefully) see that again. Prefer to do it in round 22 than in the finals.

Yes - we need a Brissie loss (with us winning ofcourse) and about an 80 point swing over the 2 games, assuming reasonable scoring ranges. The lower scores the better.Let's say Tigers win 80 to 79 but we win 130 to 53, that would put us 0.04 percent ahead.
Or we win 120 to 70 and hope Tigers win 90 to 60. That would put us in front by 0.02 percent.

Or a Carlton win!
Would be amazed if we give him a debut at this late stage.Actually I agree with you. After 3 seasons the coaching staff would know exactly what he has to offer.
But I really want to see what he can do at AFL level and he won't be making a debut in the finals. So it's this week or never for the MC to satisfy my personal curiosity.
Earlier in the season I recall Simpson saying that MAllen is ready for a debut, just awaiting his opportunity. So hopefully a lack of opportunity isn't what costs him a spot on our list.
Carlton could do us an almighty favour. Hard to see it happening though.Yes - we need a Brissie loss (with us winning ofcourse) and about an 80 point swing over the 2 games, assuming reasonable scoring ranges. The lower scores the better.

There’s no way Carlton will beat Geelong away. Could hurt a few players though. Hawkins looked sore against Bris
Barrass wasn't the only reason. So just so we are clear; your implying Barrass ddint deserve to be dropped even after ******* up for 3 goals and literally costing us the game.
Nah, fu** that
Tactical tank and sacrifice a home final? Yeah nah.
If they lose they probably don't finish second. So yeah, the MCG is preferable to a trip interstate."Home" final at the MCG against an MCG tenant. May be less appealing than trying for second and hosting West Coast/ Brisbane.

Go look at the ladder. It's not that complicated. "Losing small" isn't a factor.Dunno. This is where the permutations of the finals plays out and what makes the last round so interesting. Do they finish first and lock in an "away final" against Richmond/ Collingwood? Do they try and lose small and aim for second and most likely play West Coast/ Brisbane at the 'G? Do they take the risk knowing that finishing third could send them to Optus? Who do they feel more confident in beating?
An intriguing last round awaits.

If you think teams try and lose you've got rocks in your head TBH.
We are not guaranteed to beat the Hawks. No team will be taking a "calculated risk" , have to win your game, if you can. Pies can still jump us in the 4. Then what, A possible home elimination final against the Dogs![]()
We should win and win handily, but no win is guaranteed.Wait, why aren't we a guarantee to beat Hawthorn? I mean, we're the 3rd places side on the ladder, while they're ninth. Just because we lost yesterday doesn't suddenly mean we're vulnerable to every side in the competition.
