Can VFL watchers advise which of our listed players actually play or could play as medium/small defenders? We seem to be at the absolute bottom of our depth chart in defence if there's no realistic option to even make Hunt the sub.

So Hunt was terrible last week, but why are we pretending like he's the worst player to ever lace up?

Do you have to be the worst player to ever lace up to get dropped from the reigning Premiers?

He's objectively a bad player with poor skills at AFL level. Would much prefer to look at someone early in the season who has some long term potential in the side.

Played 20 games last season when our defence was fit so he’s hardly as bad as he was last week. Most teams aren’t going to have players like Tommo, Smith and Hunt available as defensive depth. If Hunt has another stinker then sure, try Deakyn Smith, but we’re playing for this year not next years and I’d prefer a seasoned body that other coaches need to account for unless there’s another Bowey in the twos.

People need to get a grip. Hunt shanked a few kicks and was disappointed in himself last week, so what?

The week before he also won some important one on one’s in the last quarter against the Bulldogs, do we ignore those plays just because of a couple of plays this week? Haven’t seen his direct opponents getting any space either…

He only goes out if Hibberd is ready.

I refuse to get a grip, love overreacting to things on a forum, its great fun.

Dom Tyson played 20 odd games on a wing in 2018 and was pox as *. Bowey stepped in and now 9 games in has played a better game than Hunt ever has.

His skills are the worst in the team every time he plays for us and he doesn't play like a mature body he has the core strength of a rotten apple.

I remember when Hunt was our “Insta” Bailey Smith.

Lot of people preferred Hunt to Bowey for the Grand Final because he was apparently the 'safer' option on exposed form. Thankfully our coaches had the courage to stick with Bowey and look how that's worked out.

There's no sense acting as if we're such a great team that a couple of his trademark clangers couldn't cost us a prelim or a grand final. He's played a bad game again last week amongst a stretch of 2 years where he plays many more bad games than good ones. If there's a young player who is up to senior level then let's see them early in the season rather than act as if none of our young players could possibly go past Hunt's very low level of performance.

Who preferred him? Cant recall that..I thought the argument was about Jordon or Hunt as sub?
