Turned out ok team. Shame you missed it E.
Just watched the replay. I had band practice this afternoon so I couldn't have watching it live anyway but I was actually relieved. I get to a point where the game is affecting my mental health and its just better not to watch.
I shouldn't take it so seriously but after all these years it can still affect me that way.
Worked out well. I saw we won and watched the replay stress free. Much better that way sometimes.
Glad we won. Hopefully we start getting a few of our better players back soon because that wasn't much of a test today.
I do admire that we got it done despite some horrendous skill errors but most of the players making them will hopefully not be out there when the sterner tests come.
Bulldogs is a serious reality check next week. I'll be at the ground so we'll see what we see.

You really dislike Erasmus.

He wasn’t that bad last week. He needs to tidy up his handballs and look to free the arms a bit more so he doesn’t get caught HTB so often. He put his body on the line a few times which is more than a few others.

Will Brodie is not the answer. That is coming from someone who has watched hours and hours of Peel games the past two years. There is a reason that no other team took any interest in trading for him last year. He was definitely put up for trade and there was 0.00% interest so we packed that up quickly.

100%, if the club could have got Brodie off the books for pick 80 they would have. Doesn't mean he can't contribute at AFL level though. Bailey Banfield would have zero trade value but he gets a run every week.

Apparently Erasmus had offers elsewhere but I'm guessing the trade value was a late pick. FFC would rather keep him on the books as a top ten pick and hope he comes good than trade him for pick 55 after having egg on their face with Sam Collins, Lloyd Meek, Blake Acres, etc.

Erasmus is looking better but I think his ceiling is just average at this level. Not that there is anything wrong with that either.

I think of Erasmus as the anti-Pendlebury. Pendles seems to have complete awareness of all players around him and what they're doing. Erasmus has zero awareness. That's why he seems to get tackled a lot and often handpasses to a team mate under pressure. And you can't teach that so I reckon you're right Kram - he's reached his ceiling.
