He's in that bracket, but difficult to say Erasmus is better. And wouldn't play the same position as most of them.Worner, Sharp, Frederick, Banfield, Wagner.
Edit just wanted to add the same people crying about Erasmus would 100% be the same people that were crying about Reidy not getting a game last season because he got a few hit outs in the WAFL![]()
He is one of JLs favourites, ofc he would give him votes

I was crying over Reidy not getting selected last season. This board melting over Erasmus is so funny to me.
Bloke has been dead set average, and with Jaeger back in the team he's pushed forward again, where he is even more average.
It's like people don't actually watch football and just check stat sheets.

If Worner/Banfield over Erasmus is enough to sway results then we weren’t a serious team in the first place.Changed my tip for Sunday. Dogs will have us.
Worner and Banfield over Erasmus.
What a joke.
So we have a 31 year old tagging.
Is that what this team is about.
It just doesn’t fill me with optimism. I just hope it’s JOM getting dropped for Young and this team can move forward.
Brodie and Erasmus with Young for Peel excites me more then seeing JOM Serong Brayshaw.
Said for nearly 3 years now that getting JOM has changed the trajectory of players.
Brodie, Erasmus, Aish too.
A completely unnecessary player, at the twilight of his career, retiring back in WA starting a family. That’s for a rebuilding team or a team needing veterans like North Melbourne.
Each to their own, pessimistic view I guess. He’s done stellar in two losses, guess he deserves a spot
As someone who thinks Worner's the only player that Ras should feel "aggrieved" was selected over him, this doesn't ring that true, especially when it comes to skillset. It’s why guys like Banners and JOM hang around, their skill sets are suited to a few vague positions as opposed to Raz who pretty much just plays inside mid
Without criticising your opinion, I would like a few people to put their hand up here and acknowledge that they're part of this 100% of opinion on both topics.
A venn diagram would have to look like one circle being a total eclipse of the other whereas it's probably more likely that they barely intersect.
Even accounting for groupthink it's hard to find someone who completely agrees with your point of view on more than one subject.
It's more about team balance and playing too many defenders and not enough midfielders, something that hurt us in round one. Would've thought this was obvious. This board melting over Erasmus is so funny to me.

Thing is Jackson isn’t a typical tall. He’s a Blicavs type.Of course we could. Like in warfare, whomever controls the air, controls everything.

would need to play a complimentary gameplan but it could work.

Maybe we couldn't play all of them next week but in the longer term and if Voss comes on I think it's possible - Jackson, Treacy and Voss look like they are pretty versatileWould be a death wish. No way we can play all of Darcy, Jackson, Voss, Treacy and Amiss in the same side.
We have too many defenders as is so playing both Worner and Wagner is ridiculous - you only need one of them. He's in that bracket, but difficult to say Erasmus is better. And wouldn't play the same position as most of them.
I'd go with he's potentially better than Banfield.
He is the least tactically astute coach in the league. Utterly clueless. What in the actual **** is Jlo doing? Look at your opponent muppet. There’s a gritty in and under Liberatore led midfield that will ground and pound our two best mids and our counter is to load up with a shitful WAFL flanker? heck off.
cool. just checked the stat sheets. quite hard for me to determine meaning in them as he's come on as sub in 10 of his 25 games. Only played R2 and R3 this year. R2 got almost identical stats to Murphy Reid and was above Banfield. R3 18 disposals and above Banfield and Worner. This board melting over Erasmus is so funny to me.

With no Young or Fyfe we are actually a midfielder light compared to most teams.. we’re overloaded with flankers and defenders, so in my eyes, Erasmus instead of either Wagner or Worner gives us a more balanced team. This only makes sense if we’re not considering positions (although I’d still argue with Frederick and Wagner).
However Raz can’t play any of the positions those blokes play except for maybe Banfield.
People on here really seem to underrate playing an actual position. AFL teams are not made up of the twenty two most talented blokes on the list. It’s not junior footy where you can try out a new position. Positions are specialised things and off the cuff changes are rare (C Simpson being a rare exception it seems).
