I'd keep Milera in the side, but play him in defence if the games against Essendon and Gold Coast aren't particularly close.

I really like the way Sydney are playing Mills in defence to begin with. I think we can do something similar with Milera in some games

Hate to say it but his forward play actually suits us better too. eek.

Similar to Gov, plays the modern day tall forward role quite well in that he's comfortable leading back with the flight, has good lateral movement and is strong overhead. I said it elsewhere, I actually prefer him in a forward role to a defensive one.

Was thinking a similar thing, force him to lock down on someone and he'll learn a real lesson about the defensive side of his game.

I've been harsh on Kelly but he was really really good defensively last night, I thought he would wilt under pressure but he exceeded my expectations. That said I still nearly had a heart attack every time he kicked it into the middle. I think he will retain his spot.

Not counting what happens in the snaffle today - Menz/Gucculuochio (legit forgot how to spell his name) for McGovern. Give JJ another week, he never plays well when he is underdone.

IN : Jenkins & Menzel

Out : McGovern (INJ) & Milera

That's how I see it, if people want to be honest and not follow the social media trend of loving to bag Makay at every opportunity or say Otten isn't good enough they will just spin their wheels and talk BS. Gov actually before getting injured was poor, Milera was poor, most others stood up. If anyone Lever wasn't that good but you have to allow for first real game in for the year. All depending who is available and what happens today, JJ comes in for Gov if ready to go, if not let's see who puts it on the park today if Menzel plays like a hack today maybe somebody else gets a shot so Menzel isn't a lock yet he still needs to show his worth. What if dear has a blinder

So how did you see Mackays 11 possession game?

Definitely not. Otten only there as Jenkins was out. Would like to see gov pushed up the ground when he is back fit.

Otten is having a fantastic year from the JLT through to the real season, has been on his game for 6 weeks now to suggest he will not retain his sport would indicate absolutely zero idea, I suppose a few have said it in here which suggests a bit about them. Pyle will not drop him, can we have another bet Elite Crow

Better than Mileras soft efforts and Mackay did kick a blinder when it was needed he is getting a habit of doing that
You've set the benchmark pretty low for Mackay. In a heated contest he won the ball 11 times, coming off a 13 possession game. One is a senior mediocre player the other our future, but hey let's keep backing in the player that continually lets us down. I thought you want to win a flag?

So you agree that Milera and Mackay will be dropped if 2 players perform today in the SANFL?

Let's hear the coaches thoughts do you want to double or nothing on Macakay getting dropped I will even give you odds on that, which is how confident I am the experts will agree with me?

Milera was quiet, but posters seem to forget he is still young & inexperienced. With this comes inconsistency. The showdown would have been his biggest ever game with enormous pressure. He will be better for the experience.

We need to persist with him, playing him for a block of games. If his form isn't good enough after this block of games, then give him a run in the sanfl.

What they will do and what they should do are 2 different things. They most probably will continue the same as they have throughout his career, keep him in whilst he's shit, drop him, bring him back to fail in the finals and then rate him our 22nd best player for the year.

Hahahaha so you agree Mackay plays this week, good to hear

No Milera is a chance but I think they will hold faith and I don't mind if they do, Mackay absolutely zero chance coaches will agree with me on that
I don't think Milera is a chance to be dropped. Good coaches leave young players in for a good block of games. Milera has 2 more games for mine.

Mackay has shown a little more this year and his goal kicking has grown but he wouldn't want too many more games like last night. I think todays game may put pressure on his position.

Errr, did you see Guv being helped off the ground. Will be lucky if it's not a six week injury.
I did and my comment was based around adding Knight to the injured list, Prior to that most are only saying, McGovern, was the only injury player, I would wait until Knight is cleared on Monday.
Also McGovern most likely a 3-4 week one
