Hughes was close to best on for Freo for the second and third. Without him, defence suffers.
Watson is the odd one out. Not sure what his role is. Logue will come in for him.

I thought Watson played his usual game; steady, assured and made the right decisions. He stays in for mine.
Hughes got done HTBa few times and turned it over a fair bit which resulted in scores for Hawthorn.

He is a liability Hughes.
you are starting out at minus 3 or 4 goals with him in the team against any side that has some semblance of forward pressure at all.
It doesn’t matter how good he is besides. Nothing gives the opposition more oxygen than players in our defence making clangers leading to simple goals.
Good to seemingly get through the game without an injury. Finally we might build some depth. Logue, Duman pushing for a spot and Hughes may have to make way for one of them but I suspect that it’ll be Watson. Or even no change.
Colyer and Acres did enough to stay another week.

Hughes out, Logue in
Yeah Hughes caused a few direct goals, but he was also put under a lot of pressure in the middle of the ground and he went even in a lot of those contests. That Treacy handball to him in the 4th was diabolical and not his fault. Our hardest player on the field won't get dropped.

Absolutely.
Logue did a brilliant job on Tex Walker this time last season.
Walker was out of from just like the crows at that point. But Logue was our only tall defender and we grinded out a 20 point win
