Changes Round 5 vs Hawks

Usual Bevo fluff. There is no world where Richards would be risked given his soft tissue history.
What soft tissue history?

Also the point is it’s not as bad as it first sounded in initial media statement

FWIW he trained fully at today’s session, he’ll play if he pulls up ok

Are you guys likely to tag at all?
Not in the midfield but we often send a defensive forward to Sicily. He's too good an interceptor to leave alone.

Ed maybe felt some tightness, pulled out, got a scan, no issues , good to go.

Look at the Hawks game, Sicily was worried he'd done his shoulder & Gunston a hammy. But they both pulled up fine.

If Ruchards had felt a twinge mid-game instead of pre-game, he could have had a quick test with the docs on the boundary & carried on.

Current losing streak against the Hawks is 4, and the next worst streak is currently Freo at 2. The only other current losing streaks are Collingwood (1), Gold Coast (1), and Geelong (1).
This is genuinely wild to read. I feel like I'm still traumatised by the era of getting belted by Geelong and West Coast every time we played them

There was an 11 game losing streak to Geelong I remember at some point, including a 100+ point hammering. I do not miss those.

There is still a 7 (i think) straight losing streak to them in finals

He was ruled out after the scan, no? Which could only suggest something showed up.

Very small chance to front the Hawks. But should be cherry ripe next week, provided training goes smoothly.

Cannot be more than a Strain if they are even considering this.

If it’s a tendon behind the knee, it’s not a knee injury as such. The tendon just connects the muscle to the bone behind the knee. For example, years ago I thought I had a knee injury from my running and it turned out to be ‘runners knee’, which is actually an IT band issue where the muscle connects the to side of the knee. Same with tennis elbow, which I’m trying to get rid of. As soon as I started rolling my IT band the pain settled down quickly and I’ve never had another issue. Not saying Ed’s tendon issue might be simple to treat of course.

I'd be very happy to contact Rome for some holy water for the injuries. Leo and I have a connection, even though he's a White Sox fan.

Stoked we aren't moving Lobb or Darcy out of position.
We still could be. We need another tall player in any position to cover for English, irrespective of who actually rucks. We're not really all the wiser of which position Emmett might play by his selection.

Quite a few players play through knee tendonitis (interchangeably sometimes called runners knee or jumpers knee) which is an inflamed patella tendon. It took me 18 months to get rid of it. The risk of long term damage is low.

In any case I suspect Ed gets named and he gets fully tested during the warm up.
