Can someone pls post the age games comparison thing once it updates for May. I’m slow and don’t know how to do things

My fear is that they’re so out of routine. A week and a half away, travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne, away from the comforts of home which they usually get for 10 days out of 14.
Add to that change in training routine on the below average training grounds they’ve been using (obviously other than the G), and I can see them being less that fully switched on. Melbourne will be desperate to get off the mark.
Danger game for sure.

We have gone in too tall

Erasmus or Narkle would help over run them

Melbourne haven’t gotten shorter, just worse.

Fullarton, Turner and Tholstrup are taller and stronger than van Rooyen, Fritsch and Henderson.

Shorter down back with Howes replacing May, but he now becomes the third tall - so if anything you could argue to stick with three talls and make him play bigger, probably taking Amiss.

If we cannot beat a Dees team without May, Lever, Fritsch and JVR, then none of those excuses are acceptable.

Collingwood went straight from Adelaide to Brisbane for last night too and it didn’t affect them. There are no excuses, we should whack them, and if we don’t, we are no good.

I agree. The counter point to that is the team haven't had that bonus day off from an eight day break, if they had taken extra time off while out of state I'd expect them to have strayed and lost focus more.

If we demolish them, ala, the past two matches will Simon Goodwin be there next week?

They bonded quite well in the hubs a few years back so hopefully it is a chance to get around each other over the two weeks.

Agree with you that Melbourne will be desperate and they have a few players we wouldn't know too much about.

But if we are a top 8 team we need to beat them comfortably.

Still not convinced.
Voss out is so freaking stupid. He should be out there causing damage. Instead it’s a structural change. Puts Darcy, Cox, Treacy under the pump
Didn't we just replace him with McDonald? So not much should change at all for our other talls.

I think Goodwin was clinging to the last bastion of hope picking May, and that just got cannonballed straight to zero. Looking grim from their end, all things.

Big chance now, with the current leading Coleman medalist in good form, and hopefully Amiss can kick himself a few! Yes, it's a potential banana skin because it's Freo, but they really should be able to put them to the sword. Like, BIG TIME!

Anyway, in truly boring fashion I'll just wimply state: "just get us the 4 points lads".

Justin would be so proud of me :tearsofjoy:

I just want a win, I don't need a belting, just get the win and get home, get recovered and get ready for Adelaide.

We are in a six day break, then another six days before Adelaide, seven and flying over to face St Kilda, six before Pies and then finally we get an eight/nine day break before GWS.

Then it's seven, seven leading into the bye for a month in Perth.

Very rough recovery run there.

I agree. Probably just my C-PTSD after 31 years of supporting Freo.😭 All these things are facts of the past 10 days. Whether it means anything, I hope not. We should win. We should’ve beaten Sydney too. Still pissed off about that. 💁🏻‍♀️

Yes lets not get ahead of ourselves; expecting a tight and tough game tomorrow.

If they can win it out the middle (Gawn to Trac, viney,Oliver is still pretty damn strong) they can score. Just look at Carlton’s forward line today. Curnow and a bunch of nobodies and they score 150.

Plus backs are against the wall they’ll want to come out firing.

It’s a danger game for sure.

Why are people concerned, we are going to smash them. If we can't beat Melb with their outs JLo needs to be moved on.
I get ya, but the first 2 rounds is why mate; since then beaten Bullies (on home turf) and the Eagles and Tiges. That's probably why. Confidence was shaken with that horrible start, people got shellshock from the last few years of badly fading too.....I guess we'll see what happens tomoz

The boys look very up and about for the game from social media. Looks like they've kept their minds on the job. This has all the makings of another slaughter, and that's even if we get smacked in the midfield. We've really got the smalls to smash them on the outside, so I just think we win quite easily.

That is actually their achillies heel, not being able to score from i50s. We should win but as every true docker knows nothing is certain
