Sorry for the intrusion, but based on 2026 form: 50-60% chance if the Dogs had everyone available - stlll at least 40% if Libba and Naughton play.

Geelong's ruck set up won't punish the lack of English like Meek and Reeves did.

Richards is a huge out if he misses, but it's still a great midfield without him.

Shocked to see such pessimism. Being Hawthorn's bunnies doesn't erase the rest of the season's form.
Thanks for the rev up, but the home ground advantage Geelong enjoys is the best in the competition. I am not sure why we play you there every year, when you play the Saints, Carlton and North at Marvel, is it because we are a stronger team?

I think its this:

In: jaques and Libba Out: Budarick and gags

In this scenario we benefit from Geelong having shorter rucks so Emmett gets another go. Our backline stays stable with Lobb still back there. Libba helps the mids not get as smashed as last week.

Geelong are disgustingly efficient so we kind of need our mids to smash theirs to win which is possible but not probable

Against a lot of other teams I’d consider bringing in Buss so Lobb can help generate mid dominance by rucking. But Geelong would expose Buss I think.

Final note is it’s beggars belief who does get dropped out of Gags, Dolan, Croft, Emmett or Hynes. I think Hynes showed a bit last week and Dolan made some errors but he shows some high level skills too. Great hands.

I suspect Vandermeer will get a go, for who I do t know. There was a few last week who deserve to be dropped, but we don’t have better replacements.

Reading between the lines, English is going to be out for while. I wonder if they'll consider surgery ....

Apologies for my volume control impacting the post

Interesting that English was hinted as a chance in the first place.

I reckon they've tested him.and it's gone to shit, worse than they thought or training has worsened the issue

I'd be very surprised if surgery is required for an MCL. They're a bastard of an injury but surgery isn't required in most cases of even a grade 3
