Let’s Hope Richards gets up..
Also like the idea of Buss coming in so Lobb can spend more time ruck.

If our configuration is similar to last week it doesn't matter that is green, he is also pretty talented. Lobb might go OK against him but he needed in defence. Emmett will be good but he will get beaten.

Hope somehow English gets up. He was considered a good chance a couple of days ago.

Sounds like Emmett was training with the defenders today and Lobb in the ruck, so this may be the way we lean.

I went to our game during COVID because I live down that way, I was allowed to go. They charged us a fortune, and sat us up on the top of the grandstand so our boys couldn’t see or hear the small band of supporters who made it.

Obviously but this is what I expect from training reports today. Richards still a chance, but appears unlikely and English looked very proppy and couldn't complete most of the training. Can't see him ready to play a full game in the ruck in 48 hours..

I am going a gluten for punishment. With our best team in fully fit down there a 40% chance of winning. With no Tim, Connor or Ed and a less than fully fit Astro and I suspect Sam, probably less than 20% chance of winning. The ground and the crowd are worth 3 goals and we are probably 5 goals down with our outs.

Before the bounce you live in hope but if the cats play anywhere near their best, we are not winning this one. Hope no injuries and we get Tim and Ed back and have red hot go at the swans.

Sorry for the intrusion, but based on 2026 form: 50-60% chance if the Dogs had everyone available - stlll at least 40% if Libba and Naughton play.

Geelong's ruck set up won't punish the lack of English like Meek and Reeves did.

Richards is a huge out if he misses, but it's still a great midfield without him.

I would rather swing Bailey Williams to a key back position than bring in Buss for when Lobb plays in the ruck this week.

Williams is strong, quick and is trusted with the footy. He is a better option than throwing Rohan Smith

Gotta play Busslinger, stop getting cute with selection. Hes no star but he’s started well this year in the VFL, he’s played decently every time he’s gotten a chance at AFL level and he’s just very clearly our next best tall out of the side in any position. Again hes no star but he’s already a competent enough back up key defender, I just don’t understand the hesitation. We don’t need someone to come in and dominate we need a solid piece of the puzzle who can follow instructions and knows our structure. Perfect ground for his lack of athleticism too, along with our new game style.

He will genuinely be fine and we need Lobb in the ruck. Emmett’s time will come, he got a taste.

With Geelong having Edwards and Blicavs in the ruck I think having Lobb as full-time ruck can actually give us an advantage.

Croft gets some game time in the 2s and Emmett gets a chance in the 3rd tall/ruck role.

Mitch Cleary has labelled Ed a 50-50 this morning snd Stevo said he expects him to play, so I'm guessing he stays in now as Stevo usually gets good mail. Tim no chance though unfortunately, needs another week or two it looks like.
