Unfortunately even with said 1%ers we are running a 99% deficit on an AFL standard footballer.
Tbh being a bit unfair. He was decent by his standards today. I just however don't understand if your small forward isn't going to kick goals and lay tackles what are you getting?
Worner wasn't terrible but if he isn't going to play on kozzie and he isn't going to provide drive off the back what's the point?

Are we too tall in the backline. I love Draper but these zippy small forwards need someone a little quicker. Missed Walker today.
I really dont understand what his role is as he does next to nothing every week and has never been dropped.
Freddy at least has run on the scoreboard when he goes missing.
Narkle seems to be smashing the door down in a losing Peel side so might be worth a shot?
I dunno, if Switta got 5th or 6th in the B&F last year, maybe the match committee think it's he that has runs on the board? In the same respect, you couldn't say that about Freddy. I doubt he finished top 20 in the B&F. He really is protected. But personally I agree that Switta has been pretty poor recently.

Switta got that placing in the Freo coaches votes.
Look at his placing in Brownlow votes, AFLCA gameday votes and heck even sportswriter awards votes for a real indication.
After JOM and Banfield, Switta is our third most protected species on the list, all 3 have earned nothing yet keep getting given free rides straight to AFL selection.

Instead, waits 10 seconds and kicks it backwards to the wing in line with the centre circle. Melbourne floods back and opportunity gone.
Doesn't kick goals, doesn't put teammates in better positions, not tackling this season, not sure what role he fills.

Amazes me how after a game where our mids got smashed, showed zero accountability and fight and our defenders got beaten by a vfl forward line, that this board has singled out Switta. Not Cox, Pearce, Serong, Darcy, Aish, but Switta

Switta was on the verge of being an elite pressure forward a few years ago. Maybe he even was elite for a little while, between the constant injuries. That agility and turn of foot he had was top shelf. Really gave us a point of difference and helped us break lines.
Unfortunately he is really struggling to impact games now. His pressure has dropped off. I wouldn’t give up on him yet but he’s been really disappointing

What did Switta do since he’s come back? If the loss is on anyone it’s on Darcy and Serong/the midfield group.
But when a small forward is on the team for pressure then provides none of that and kicks no goals and he’s done that all season what do you expect people to say?
I lambasted Cox. I don’t know why he didn’t just play forward and swap with OMac if Petty is kicking 4.
Does Cox refuse to play forward or something?
Pearce. He struggled.
Aish doesn’t get a full game. He came in as emergency.
I thought today’s game was the last time we try Draper on smalls. He just doesn’t have it.
Clark has to be the lockdown defender. No other choice. He did the job on Charlie Cameron a few times. Being Wagner in for more carry.
Weren’t most of Pettys goals when he was matched up on Pearce?? Felt like every time he got it I looked up and Pearce was his matchup
