Still think Jackson could start on a wing when Darcy is in the ruck. Just straight-line for the ball as soon as its in the air for the ruck contest drift back for intercept marks and forward to create mis-matches.
But

Johnson needs to play as a mid and no O'Meara. Ever.

Forwards between Treacy, Amiss, Bolton, Reid, Fred, Narkle, Duds.
Honestly don't know what to do with Switta.

Plus if we have Pearce, Ryan, Cox, Chapman, Clarke, Worner Wags and Draper that's a back too many.

They all deserve to play. As does Oscar but there's no way but we can't keep them all

Pearce Ryan Chapman
Clark Cox Draper
Sharp Young Jackson
Fred Treacy Bolton
Reid Amiss Narkle

Darcy Brayshaw Serong

Wags, Worner, Johnson Switta - Wags rotates the wing, Worner in the backs, Johnson in the mid rotation, Switta forward.
Sub - Duds

I can't get Oscar or Voss in there.
Someone has to come out for O'Driscoll.
No way I'm putting O'Meara in.
Fyfe? Walters? Sturt?

Does my head in. Narkle probably the weakest link. No way I'm taking Murph out.
Too hard.

The Jackson decision shapes as almost being season defining. Dude was our best player before going down playing entirely ruck so do we go tall with him onball or is back to the forwadine for Oscar?

Who do you even drop for him if he's onballer
Would JL go the below, or would he swap Omac for Erasmus? Currently have 2 rotations in the mid with Bolton and Johnson. It might be enough.

Ryan Pearce Wagner
Clark Cox Chappy
Sharp Young Freddy
Omac Treacy Bolton
Jacko Amiss Dudley

Darcy Serong Brayshaw

Draper Johnson Reid Worner

Sub Switta.

I dont know why anyone thinks Ras is getting a look in to be honest.

I am strongly against a forwardline looking anything like that. Jackson must be on ball if OMac stays

Someone has to come in for Jackson this week. Would it be:
Omac (likely choice).
Switta (possibility)
Dudley (decent chance)
Reid (say he's managed) or
Johnson (left field).

I don't think it will be a defender.

You lot are overthinking it. It will be Jackson for OMac straight swap. Even if they want to move him into the midfield they won't be doing it fresh off a hammy.

Fair enough but where onball if Darcy is rucking?
Surely he's not pushing out Serong, Andy or Young?
And lining him up on a wing might just be a little too left field for JLO.

Add him in the rotations with Johnson moved back out to the wing basically. Dudley or Wagner to sub.

It'd be like 40% mid, 40% ruck, 20% bench

Banners has his sights set on a Peel B and F.
Now that he's reached 100 games he needs to start working on contributing to the 2050 Freo premiership team.

Interesting stat just now via the gambling promoter that appears on Footy Furnace. He had a graphic of the number of players used so far this season and we were second most with 32 players behind Melbourne on 33. Gold Coast were at the other end with the least number of changes.

All the more reason to chuck Jackson in the middle. Hard to plan for that
Starting midfield of Jackson, Bolton, Cox, and Clive Waterhouse out of retirement. No one can plan for what that combination would produce.

But seriously, I think that Jackson in the middle of the ground makes for a better chance of something good happening, but it comes with higher risks on the flip side too.
