Grigg
Graham
Short
Vlastuin (50/50)
Astbury (50/50)

These guys cannot get a game - Vlastuin and Grigg maybe. Would you put them in our team? I would say none of them would get a game for us. Maybe I over-rate our list.

Just to extend on that - they have Stack, Baker, and Bolton and others - they have overtaken these guys - yeah Short will be close but Graham is done. Grigg, Vlastuin and Astbury - where the hell would they fit in at Freo let alone any other team - even Richmond would struggle without injuries to place them - I suspect now they have the problem of finding the new best 22. I think Richmond are following the Bulldogs - win a flag, then back to the drawing board.
Hmmm. Don't really agree with your player ratings there.

Everyone of those players are B22 for Richmond when fit.

Since Graham broke into their squad in the lead up to the 2017 finals he has played 27 games out of a potential 33. Graham is a regular best 22 player for them over the last 2 years. Why do you think he is done? He's 21yrs old, 2yrs younger than Blakely.

Astbury and Vlas are key players in their backline. Vlas would definitely get a gig in our side over say Hughes. Astbury is very good, on par with Hamling. Grigg's not exactly a star but he would get in our side over Conca for versatility and has been Best22 in a top side for a long time. Short also is a certain starter for Richmond when fit.

It's not about would these players fit into our squard. It's that they are Best 22 in Richmond's squad and have been for quite some time. A team that won a grand final 33 games ago and made the Prelim 8 games ago.

Richmond are in no way following the Bulldogs. They have been consistently good for quite some time now whereas Bulldogs were a bit of a flash in the pan, if they get all their players back and Dusty pulls his finger out they will be in the hunt for a flag this year and the next few.

Any team missing that many B22 players is very vulnerable and we should capitalise on their misfortune.

This is a must win. We have to get the 4 points here one way or another.
They have deficiencies down back and no Riewoldt up forward. That leaves Lynch as their main target and he has struggled with fitness, Pearce should match up with him really well. They shouldn't be able to handle our tall forwards as long as they don't turn up looking like a potato farm again.

If the Tiges bring the pressure then this will probably end up like the Bulldogs or Saints game with us grinding out a close win. If they look the same as they did last week against the Dogs, we should blow them away by 40+ points.

Some serious underrating here.

Graham, Short you can make a case for.

Vlaustin 100% gets a game for us, Astbury is definitely in the class of Hamling and/or Pearce - so it would be a team balance thing.

Edit: Grigg with Graham and Short.

Considering Conca (who was on the fringes/best 25 at Richmond) has come straight in and played every game for us I probably wouldn't be so harsh on them.

This all comes down to how we use the ball through the middle of the park, stuff it up and the Tigers will be all over us. It's what they rely on, so we need to not turn the ball over and if we do don't do it in dangerous areas.
Agree with our forwards though, I can't see their current talls of Grimes and Broad handling Tabs and Hogan. At least one of ours will get off the chain.

whoah!
disagree with a lot of that.
Short is probably their best kick out of defense apart from Houli, & even then it would be close.
Vlastuin is a star who is a potential AA defender.
Astbury is also a very good defender, who often allowed Rance to not take the best forward.
Graham gets games, but I reckon he is pretty average, along with guys like Butler & Castagna.
Watch Castagna (a one trick, very fast pony) tear us a new one now.
Grigg is also decent.
I reckon Nyhuis or Hughes will play on Dusty when he plays forward, because if he gets it together is still one of the best going around.
If Hamling is sore, this is an ideal game to rest him, as Pearce can take their only tall forward, Lynch.
I reckon a smaller player can cover Caddy & the inexperienced, Balta, who to date is yet to set the house on fire.

Grimes is a very good defender. It depends what support he gets - it looks like both Astbury and Vlaustin are in doubt. If neither of those 2 get up, we should have an overwhelming advantage up forward.

They like travelling, they like coming here. They have a fair bit of support, so real danger game.
We have to be 100% to win this!!

They do?

Games outside of Victoria in 2018
L v Adelaide
L v Eagles
L v Port Adelaide
L v GWS
W v GCS

So if you exclude the GCS game as that was a gimme in 2018 they were 0-4 on the road, consider they lost 5 games total for the season i wouldn't have said in recent times that travelling is their go.
Even with the recent with against PA at Adelaide Oval.

Anyone worried about Langdons form so far ? He has been very off this year compared to last, his kicking leaves a lot to be desired but gets plenty of it.

Above all else I am looking forward to another Hardwick whinge about, well, something - umpires, late team changes, travel, the position of the sun. The guy never seems happy to play us, even if he wins.
