McCarthy for Blakely is the obvious choice, I would go McCarthy for Darcy, Switta for Blakely. Lobb needs a chop out. Switta is mature age, hell be ok getting dropped and will fight for his spot now hes had a taste. McCarthy is still not out of the woods after his magnificent start to the season, his future has gotten dicey again really quickly.

Hogan won’t be dropped. He was poor but he’s not near his last ticket.
We have short term memories a lot.
Remember hogan was like this at

Melbourne if anyone ever watched. Ripper one week, poor the next.

But he's been poor for 3 games, average for 2 and good for 1? I understand he didn't have an ideal preseason and that his fitness might be a problem in some areas of his game, so just manage him for a bit. The calls are warranted and not completely gloom.

Cox was named in the best for Peel yesterday???

According to those who were at the game - he wasn’t great, but yes the WAFL site named him 3rd best. I get the impression that Cox is one those who doesn’t stand out at WAFL level. Also he was playing defence I believe and East Perth got hammered.

Keep an eye on where Cox trains this week. Also Hamling seems to be struggling a bit so he has the capacity to swing fwd and back.

I’d like Darcy to get a lot more of the ball but that could be the run of the game - esp 2nd half. He dominated ruck taps and maybe wasn’t needed as part of the ‘ball-movement chain’ going fwd.

Darcy had 8 kicks.

At 55% efficiency.

No way was he in our best players today.

Blakely is better.

Had 18 and Kicked 2 goals on a day we kicked 5. Was in our best 10.

Switta didn’t even get a kick. Him at matera at ground level were unsighted.
Mind you our whole forward line was trash

With a disappointing loss once again reminding me why I shouldn't get my hopes up as a Dockers supporter, you can expect at least a couple changes to try balance the side out better.

Out: McCarthy, Conca, Colyer
In: Cox, Blakely, North

Hogan and Tabs on thin ice IMO, Hogan needs to get some confidence. Not the player we payed big money for, seriously needs to start preforming. Also unpopular opinion, Umpires didn't cost us the game.

edit: changed Logue to North
Is Conca the new Danyle Pearce where people just say Out every week without looking at the game, he had 22 poss and laid 7 tackles, there would have to be a lot ahead of him to be first out!

Switta might've had a shocker, but oppositions would walk the ball out without him down there. Easily our best (And only) defensive forward. Needs to bob up and do a bit more offensively, but not drop-worthy, especially in a side still finishing off a rebuild where you get games into these types.
Colyer's a bit older and is the one who should go.
McCarthy's struggled since illness but has to be on thin ice OR sent back to peel and Hogan wouldn't want to play too many like that.

The opposition did walk it out today haha

Cox plays better at AFL level anyway. He’s not a WAFL player.
McCarthy has to go. Third forward and was so poor. Walters contesting the mark and he’s staying down. What.
Cox is too talented to be in Peel while McCarthy is given a free ride.
Blakely is an upgrade on Conca, nether contested too. Colyer is just making the number.
Lobb needs a chop out. Tabs in the ruck is too hard.
In: Cox, Darcy, Blakely

Hughes got toweled up today but has been good previously, prefer Logue when the opposition has multiple taller threats. Hopefully he learns from it, plays well next week and make's himself harder to drop again once Logue's ready.

Like this a lot. Lobb goes up front and plays second ruck. Blakely a big improvement on Colyer, although the latter will be back when a few others inevitably go down.

After games like this seriously you could find reasons to drop about a dozen players, or none at all.
We aren't going far with Lobb as our #1 ruck, at the selection table I would fix that first. Darcy in. Drop one of Lobb, tabs, Hogan or Cam. Take your pick, they were all shitful and I could make a case for dropping all of em.
Blakely must play and leave Walters forward.

In Blakely and Darcy, out one tall and Conca

I know it’s not the be all and end all but we lose a lot pace and mobility in that exchange. Tigers are usually pretty swift.

I like your thinking but Conca was quite ok today and has been all season.

I thought Hughes battled. Lynch goes everywhere and didn’t really do much. He’s a roaming type player. Not easy to keep up. Hardly one on ones.

Gee I didn't think Hughes was good at all, Lynch won the battle. Maybe Duman is an upgrade on Hughes?

Plenty to consider.

Not a day for forwards, but McCarthy in a genuine 1v1 gets exposed badly.

Like many, I'd be for introducing Darcy and moving Lobb forward.

It feels like every game the opposition ruck has their best game of the season.

Want to persevere with Switkowski, but he went kickless in a game where the ball hit the deck in the forward line a million times.

Out - McCarthy, Switkowski
In - Darcy, Blakely

Disappointing.. yeah we should’ve won. We had control of the first half mostly. But it was a battle of the defences. Our forwards didn’t gel. McCarthy coming in hasn’t made the forward line better.

Thought Switter was great. Didn’t realize he had no kicks. Was an awful game for forwards. Betts barely even touched it. Switter did so much defensively. But our talls offered nothing.
Matera too, but they battled.

Yep this.
As others said lobbster is getting cut up in the ruck .
Send him fwd , may make our side a bit cumbersome but it’s not like McCarthy is providing any fwd pressure, in fact he’s not providing anything at all tbh.
Very disappointing after a good start to the year.
Blakely should be primed to go and gives us another genuine mid rotation meaning we can rest one of our mids fwd in place of colyer.
