7th and 8th games being Saints & Swans rematch.
Beat Hawthorn and then Collingwood at the MCG and then we're talking again.
WCE after shouldn't be a revert to shite loss.
Then at this point I'm happy to drop a game maybe two to close out the season.
I'm totally broken and have 0 trust in them anymore.

JL not a fan of his lack of defensive traits. Two way running was highlighted of him to be tuned up. Look back at 2022 and he was winning the ball in the stoppages. Feeding Serong and Brayshaw on the outside. In comes JOM who was the Mundy replacement and that midfield went to shit. Bring in Brodie for a block of games. As JL highlighted to a reporter who asked if Brodie would come in “who is he to replace…I’d have to drop Brayshaw, Serong or Young” well as Young’s season looks done and JOM is also sidelined with injury I would give Brodie the next 3 or 4 games to prove himself.

So in 6 years of JLo, we've done it twice? Hardly inspiring...Round 5 2023 v GC, 6 points down, won by 10. 2022 against Adelaide, down by by 10, won by 1 point (rd. 1)
Did it 4 times under Ross (2012, twice in 2017 and once in 2019)
The Geelong game was 2010, 14 points down, won by 7
2010! Geez that's a long time ago - remember being at that game as a 12 year old and it being one of the best games I ever went to.

I think it's the break glass in case of emergency option he has to take. There are no other big bodied clearance options (maybe Jackson?). JOM is slow and rubbish, Young is injured, Fyfe is injured, they don't seem to rate Ras, and NOD is also out for a couple more weeks.
Time to see if Brodie can repeat his 2022 heroics, and simply be a clearance man to give some support to Caleb and Andy.
yep 2 times in 5 plus seasons....not great. I wonder how many games we have been leading at 3/4 time to then lose?? Will have a look and see if I can find

Interesting idea - Banfield was recruited as a tagger right? Give him his Roger Hayden last chance - morph into peak Crowley as is your destiny, and tag Daicos out of the game
The way Collingwood play, it’ll be a close game no matter what. So if we win a close game, it will provide some joy.
We then get to back up against a backs to the wall GWS for another big test.

He would definitely be exploited by opposition midfields offensively. Still, we are getting smoked at clearance and given both our offence and defence are set up from stoppage. It makes sense to bring in a stoppage expert.
But it's healed to play WAFL? Not making sense. The only reason he'd play WAFL is fitness or they want to severely limit his minutes.

Plus we need Voss in the team in my opinion. He adds what we are lacking in the team energy. Young out Voss in should be the start. Murphy Reid should have short bursts onball too in my opinion. Just not when both Brayshaw and Serong are both in the centre square at the same time.
Yep I'd normally agree except that tanking/sucking is mighty appealing to me at the moment

I think that's the only feasible way you can pick Bailey - as a hard lockdown tagger on Daicos. Think he's too nice a guy to pinch and pull hair like Crowley did, and that's what we need.
The other guy you can try in this role is Erasmus.
If we don't at least attempt a proper hard tag on Daicos, I don't know what we are doing. If we try and he's too good fine, but if the little f*cker has it on a string and we aren't putting serious time into him, i'll be disappointed.

Can we afford to rest two blokes that actually put 100% effort in.. when there are about 8 blokes that don't put effort in still holding a spot?
They are both sore, and adding less value week after week.
Can we afford not to rest them?
