They are both sore, and adding less value week after week.

Can we afford not to rest them?
if they are fit, they should play - there are so many others more deserving of being left out (Switkowski and Frederick for example). If they're injured, fine, but if they're right to go, both are easily best 22 based off current form imo.

Dudley was probably our second best player after Pearce last week...

Reid is very sore after Marshall's trip last week.

Look at Collingwood resting players, so that we may be worse one week, but better for the rest of the year.

This is how I see it.

If he's sore and can't front up to play, he's left out through injury - that's different, and I'm totally ok with that. But if he's right to go, doesn't play and then a bloke who shirked contest after contest gets a game instead, because we want to 'manage his minutes' i'll spew up.

Maybe playing sore players, managing the minutes of others, asking for less intensity from players just so they can play an AFL game is cumulatively contributing to our problems

I agree with you re Dudley. I would have him third best after Pearce and Wags.

You could slap jlo in the face and he would still play it nice. His media conference he just did sounded like a defeated man. Hope that doesn’t brush up on the players. To say we continued on like any other week after last week is unacceptable. Erasmus over Brodie is a lol. What has Erasmus done ? Hardly an upgrade on Brodie who can be that big bodied mid. This is part of Justin’s down fall and the match commit mistakes after mistakes. Give Brodie a fn chance. Erasmus has had his turn and done f all

Sounds like Erasmus in and draper out baseed on the presser

Not much else given away

No wholesale changes off the back of one loss per JL

We taking bets on when he gets subbed out?

Last WAFL game, Ras copped a hard tag and Brodie did little of note. Not dominating in that scenario puts you out of selection contention, simple as that.

Brodie hasn't been listed in the best in a WAFL game since Round 19 last year vs South Freo. Literally in his worst lower league form in his career.

Playing Brodie makes about as much sense as playing Ollie Murphy.

So if Ras is in for Young, who is in for Draper?
Voss, OMac, Banfield?

Probably Aish, Captain Conservative needs to fill his quota with vanilla nothing players and keep the defense v mid/forward combined ratio where he needs it.

5.5 years and I don't think he's ever really made massive changes once that weren't forced by injury or suspension.

And he wonders why we keep dishing up inconsistent performances?

In fairness, no one at Peel is pushing for selection.

it would be a lot easier to make big changes if Sturt, Walters, Fyfe were all fit and playing well.

If Simpson had a bit more experience playing in the backline. The team pretty much picks itself, I just want 1 or 2 unforced changes to send a bit of a message.

JL said we what wield the axe, so don't expect too many changes

How utterly pathetic. He gets a few nice texts from the players “ooh don’t drop me JLo” and he’s not going to swing the axe.

Sums up everything that’s wrong with this football club. Soft, no accountability for poor performance, no tough decisions being made.

There's Noone to swing the axe for lol

We would dish up a far worse team if we swung the axe

Erasmus - I think over the year, he is most likely to come in.
Banfield - He is probably the 2nd most likely to come in.

Voss - most in form non AFL player, but in the wrong position.
McDonald- see Voss, but one person down the order.

I know the injury list is decent, but this how things will be until after the bye. (except for NOD)

I am hoping it is Voss in as ruck forward and Jackson in to the midfield. We need a big body and some oomph. Someone else mentioned having Wagner tag Daicos. That sounds really good to me. If we back ‘our system’ and let Daicos run amok, I will throw up.

I hope someone is dropped to send a message, but it sounds like we don’t do messages.

I think the best message we could send is Luke Ryan out for Nathan Erasmus.

Play smaller in the back line, and hopefully Erasmus can help us in the midfield.

Erasmus has had his chance? Hardly.

Brodie the same though, lack of chances

Johnson on the other hand......
