Voss should 100% come in and he better. At least he has some agro and mongrel too him. Apart from him and Treacy the rest are just a bunch of fake tough guys. I’m sick of this sh*t club. Pissweak. It's actually crazy. All our depth is injured.
Voss possibly could come in. Not sure how though, we already seem too tall.
It was pretty funny when he handballed straight into Darcy's face last night. By that stage in the match I was looking for anything to keep me from busting up my TV.Perhaps it’s time to move Reid midfield?

Think we need big bodied mid that can create space or shovel...Bolton rotates there as a creative mid already..adding another slight mid won't solve the issuePerhaps it’s time to move Reid midfield?

Who would be like for like we have..Brodie?Fyfe came to the rescue more than we realized I think. For all his perceived weaknesses, he was often brought on to stop the bleeding when our usual midfield was getting monstered. To think we didn't at least try to go like for like when he wasn't available this season is a little staggering.
Said at the time that Switta has played a half of football in 6 months, and coming straight's in based on reputation is entitlement. For me, I would make quite a few changes after Friday night. The club cannot accept that result "as business as usual" and the way a footy team demonstrates that is by swinging the axe. So its time for the lumberjack.
I would make six unforced changes. Won't happen ... especially the last three. But a hard club would.
Out:
Young
Will be a big loss.
Draper, Johnson
I am not "blaming" these guys for the loss or calling them spuds. But both have been ordinary for several weeks now and as young players could do with a spell. Sometimes the correct way of handling poor form is gut up and work through it. But sometimes the best way forward is to step back and reset. A couple of weeks away from the pressure of playing in a dogshit team might do both the world of good.
Switta
You have to earn it and at the moment, Switta isn't. Playing someone who doesn't earn it is corrosive to the team's culture. Go back and find form, kick goals, do goals assists, get a run through the midfield. And then come back into the seniors in form.
Darcy, Serong, Bolton
What happened on Friday night was unacceptable. And these three did not fire a shot. Not effing one. For Darcy and Serong that is the second time in three weeks. As leaders, as highly paid talent, you just have to be better. You have to find a way to contribute. Bolton comes into the club on a big paycheck, costing a lot of draft picks, as a marque player. You can't walk around the park (literally walk at various times on Friday) getting frustrated and then late in the fourth spud up a routine shot at goal. If you want to be the marque player, if you want the biog paycheck, you have to be more responsible ... you aren't here to be a highlight reel you are here to be a serious footballer, a leader. And if you don't want to be a leader, don't accept the marque paycheck.
None of these three will be dropped. But at least one should be. And I would drop all three. I'd let the team know we aren't offering up that rubbish again ... and that everyone is accountable.
Jackson.Who would be like for like we have..Brodie?
Biggest knock on Brodie is his def two way ..is Fyfe just as bad or better..although don't know is the bull Fyfe is
Jackson.
So ****ing obvious.
Why didn’t we try Treacy in the ruck? No mongrel at all.
Even Jackson, Treacy and Reid would be a better midfield then the crap of Serong, Brayshaw and MJ put up last night
Jackson was playing mid in last quarter..think he had mpact initially first clearance but not thereafter I I recallJackson.

Should persist with it. If Serong struggles with a tag, someone big and keen for the ball like Jackson would make the opposition think twice. There’s no tall midfielder to help.Jackson was playing mid in last quarter..think he had not of impact initially first clearance but not thereafter I I recall
Spot on. Umps need to be questioned by the coach get a fine don’t care. He was manhandled all night literally held off the ball and they ignored it. Imagine Cripps getting that treatment. Team mates just let it happen too should have fuken smashed the tagger don’t care if you get rubbed out show some spine look after your mates.I’d like to see Voss, O’Mac, Ras & Brodie.
Anyone calling out Serong I just don’t get it. He’s leading the AFL or top 10 in so many stats & he’s absolutely key to our game & tries his guts out. Other teams know it & he’s getting monstered by taggers.
The real question is why do we refuse to try something different to cope with it? Get nasty with blocking & scragging his taggers?
If you’re small, have to have qualities to overcome the height difference.Have not banged on about my pet peeve for a while, but we have gone back to a critical mass of too many small players. Serong, Bolton, Brayshaw, Wagner, Switta, Narkle, Reid, Dudley, Freddy. That's 9 players at under 6 foot (I include Brayshaw cause he is clearly much shorter than his listed height). It's one thing if they are all guns, but when you are carrying average players who are small, you are better off replacing them with equally average players with more size (e.g. Erasmus).
Sometimes it can work when the opposition also has a bunch of smalls ... Adelaide played 8 in this category. Or maybe you just have a good day. But it is not sustainable. It's no wonder we can fall to pieces when such a large percentage of the side can be physically dominated. Hearing JL bang on and on about "the contest" for years is such mind numbing stuff when he often has selected a side that is not actually built to win the contest.
The Pies will roll out 5 players at 183cm and under, or 7 if you include Daicos and Sidebottom who are listed at 184cm. They balance this with more players in the 185-195cm range, and with great positional flexibility as well. Most of these types are good runners as well. This is where they beat up on most teams by always having a presence of big bodied mid/flankers around the ball and contest. They are going to physically destroy us around the ground unless there are big changes.
We've now lost Young, which makes us even weaker in this area. And our injury list doesn't help.
We really have no option but to keep Johnson in the side and bring in Erasmus. But we still haven't gone anywhere to rectifying the size issue. The likes of Banfield and Brodie need to be considered. Yuck.
Send Wagner back to defence and then we can rebalance and look at moving Chapman and/or Worner into more mid centric roles. Try something out of the box like Draper on a wing. Bring in Voss as a KPF and make Jackson play as a mid.
My changes:
Out: Young, Switta, Narkle
In: Erasmus, Banfield, Voss
Switch: Wagner to defence, Chapman to mid, Jackson predominantly midfield
He was struggling v Wilkie. Get him inside and bash around.I wa s thinking half way through the third that maybe we should actually try Treacy as a mid…I was getting that desperate t see something change
This should be Johnson’s job but he has not footy IQ or has been poorly coached.I’d like to see Voss, O’Mac, Ras & Brodie.
