Brother he’s been injured all season and is still out with a hammy for a few more months
Well this is the first I'm hearing about it! You might be thinking about Young because he just injured his hammy. But Fyfe is in the team for the clearances and that's why we don't need Brodie. Tell me I'm wrong!

It was pretty funny when he handballed straight into Darcy's face last night. By that stage in the match I was looking for anything to keep me from busting up my TV.

The Reid handball that I found funny (for all the wrong reasons) was the one in our F50 in the first qtr where he tried to loop it over to the man running into space into goal.

As usual it would have been one of his perfectly weighted, creative handballs releasing a teammate into the open, except that Switta, who was the piggy in the middle, decided it must have been for him instead so jumped up and knocked it to ground for the Saints defenders to clear.

You couldn't have more perfectly contrasted the gulf in class between the two of them if you tried.

lol technically we could win this and be back in the 8 how is it possible if gws loose we are only out of the 8 on percentage lmao
About 7 odd percent behind currently, so GWS are gunna have to stink the place up (which a few teams have done this round, bizarrely..) with a bad loss, but even then it's papering over the cracks. Do you, I...or anyone else really feel like Freo are a top 8 team, deserving of it or truly going places based off what we've seen in 8 rounds thus far?! They need a miracle of sorts to open up, the club is sinking from the weight of its own hubris fast, sadly. Talking the smack talk without even an inch of being able to crawl, let alone walk. It's so deflating after 30+ years of meandering in the optical wilderness of No Premiership Man's Land and being the AFL bunnies for much of it.

They're like energy vampires sucking the lifeforce out of you, and then going through the motions year after year, pre-season after pre-season: "this is it lads & ladies, this is the one..!".

Not sure they'll ever be a one, sadly...

Just bring Ras in a see if he’s got what it takes.

Finally people are seeing this coach is a fraud and we ain’t winning shit so let’s give him an extended proper run.

Longmanure has clearly made his mind up on Ras but as we’ve seen he has no NFI how to coach any other way than what he’s doing so we can’t take his view of the player as meaning anything

****ing Fyfe..
Are you guys serious..are you expecting the second coming.
The guys been cooked for the past 5 years
.

Having Fyfe, Walters, O'Meara, Young and O'Driscoll all out at the same time is a big problem. Puts so much pressure on Serong and Brayshaw to get 30-35 a week or we're in trouble.

If Erasmus was a pick 50 no one would be calling for him to get a game. Has been a deer in the headlights at AFL level and butchers the ball in the WAFL. The only way he gets a run is if he's going to tag.

Unless of course we lose the next 5 and the season is a write off. Then by all means play Erasmus after the bye for the rest of the season.

The only one I'm adamant has to come out is Draper. The backline is too tall and some of the efforts he gave were horrendous and can't be tolerated.

Freddy can be a statement dropping as well but hard to think of a replacement with the current injury / replacement list. Only Simpson and Brodie did enough for Peel to warrant a call up though maybe you could throw Ras a bone and actually let him play a few games

I'm big on the idea that there has to be statement selection decisions, coz effort isn't a constant and that's a terrible place to be (or maybe more accurately, it is very much a constant this season when we play in Vic). They're gonna have a reaction against Collingwood regardless, but for it to last (putting aside the obvious with JL) I think a couple "penned in best 22" need to play in teal.

But yesterday, Ras got tagged (and to be clear had a stinker with that tag). And Brodie was...meh. Peel have basically nothing in the middle other than them 2, so if 1 gets tagged the other has to dominate. Instead, East Perth dominated through the middle. If Brodie isn't moving the needle when a teammate is being tagged at WAFL level, why would we expect that to change at AFL level?

I thought he was better defensively than he'd been for ages but maybe I was seeing what I wanted to see.

I think that with Brodie, the most apt criticism effort-wise at stoppage is that it's unidirectional, not that it's not there at all. The first direction of effort will usually be pretty decent. Usually that's an attempted clearance, but yesterday it had to be more tackles. But to stop on a dime, change direction, and give that 2nd and 3rd effort...nah.

Narkle forward for Freddy? Narkle has been underwhelming but at least he's a natural footballer.

Agree with you on Draper.

Sounds like a certain key defender we have
