Had it spot on last week

Vandermeer obviously forced, surely Emmett is another out. Wonder who the third in the gun might be or if it's injury related. Baker the only obvious in but I hope they go back to Jaques as well. I don't care how he played in the VFL, he was looking good at senior level

I hope they give Hynes a sustained block in the VFL side. Was completed lost at AFL level, sounds like he was good in the VFL last week. Let him keep developing his game at that level and have him come back into the AFL side when he understands his game better and with his confidence high. There's something there with him but it might be slower progress
Well done, that was a lot of changes to predict. What are your predictions this week?
I rate Hynes as a long-term player however, he is a far better player as a midfielder than as a forward but that is where we mainly play him in the seniors. Getting a block of games into him in his ideal position will be difficult but he is an average forward at the moment. I'd be confident he will excel next season though.
Are we willing to play 2 ruckman and not our normal 1 plus someone suitable for 5 to 7 mins per quarter? I'm not so sure we are there yet. There is a chance Emmett survives another week. I don't believe Croft has shown enough.
Budarick will very likely play this week and Baker has to be in the mix.

Haha no I meant you had it spot on last week. Interested in your intel

We've had about 5 pages of Smith vs Emmett discussion so I don't feel the need to add too much. I would play Smith. Emmett can't play regardless, he's years away from being ready. We'd be better off playing Kennedy in a Dunkley-lite ruck role than going back to Emmett

Sorry, that's clearly me misreading things.
I agree 100% that I would bite the bullet and play Smith ahead of Emmett and we might do that but I think Emmett survives another week.

Holy shit what a bad read, some people on this site genuinely have no idea. But hey have another word salad, imagine what they’re like in real life Jesus Christ
Perhaps you should try some other footy website if you find the regulars on here so objectionable...

No mention of a bruised heel for Bont until today. I wonder if it is a bit of a furphy to take the focus off his knee.

Noticed Arty training with the midfield group today. Like it could definitely use more speed through the midfield other than Ed we are not quick.
That would be a site to behold with the form he is in. Provided he doesnt get broken in half it would be great to have him around the ball with his damage per possession.

Surely using statistics to choose Emmet over Smith means little. The eye test, watching the game, makes the choice redundant.
The opposition play right through Emmet, they take the ball & move forward as if he isn't there. You may as well play an extra midfielder.
If nothing else, Smith provides a physical barrier to prevent progression of the football to our detriment.

Interesting point you make there,

Given how poor Emmett is in the ruck could use say a Matt Kennedy type as the ruck lose just as bad but have an extra mid around the contest

Wonder if the knee injury caused the bruised heel from Bont making subtle changes to his running gait to compensate for his knee injury.

Yeah no VFL so 2 or 3 emergencies will travel I think, but appears Lachie might have gotten the nod over Emmett at this stage.

Sounds like it's just 1 change. Buderick for VDM. Bramble is back to the forward half. Having weeks of 4+ changes is pretty bad for team cohesion.
Dolan, Emmett are blessed if they are still in. If they play the way they did last week, we are 3 players down before we start.

Maybe Davidson can lift if he can recapture some of his early form from last season.
Emmett is a couple years away
Dolan, I have never liked what I have seen. Looks like a kid playing against men. Arty looked that way earlier but you could see he had a lot tricks if he could get stronger. I just do not see it in Dolan plus he can barely kick 45 metres.

Needs to be Budarick for VDM & Locksmith for Emmett at a minimum
