There is no way Ziebell will play for a few weeks after that reckless bump on Butcher.
He has history after the Riewoldt incident last year.
Boomer will also go.
Campbell/Garlett/Speight need to come in. We need the running game to get going.
Cunnington must also be dropped. Does not offer any versatility.
For those calling for Daw to come in, his first efforts were abysmal for Werribee yesterday and subsequenetly second efforts didnt exist.

Good, we have found another ripping candidate for the leadership group:thumbsu:

IN: McMahon, Hansen, Tarrant, Mullet, HMac

Out:
L.Delaney, C.Delaney, Pedersen, Goldstein, JMac

FB:
McMahon Hansen McKenzie

HB: Firrito Grima Thompson

C: Atley Wells Bastinac

HF: Adams Petrie Warren

FF: Harvey Tarrant Thomas

Foll: HMac Swallow Greenwood

INT: Cunnington Ziebell Mullet (Harper)

Main points:

Hansen to FB. Stronger overhead than anyone else bar Petrie. Needs to play back to keep him focused. Petrie still commands the lions share of inside 50s. I would rather maximise our resources and play him back.

McKenzie probably not ready, but we need a changeup down back. Maybe we can hit a few more targets with him there, and maybe our kickouts wont stink with him taking them. I would risk it for a week against a weaker team. We need to try something new whatever way you look at it.

Tarrant at FF. Will require a legit KPD, and we will still have a presence there when Petrie goes into the Ruck. At the very least he can bring it to ground.

Mullet > JMac IMO

Harper cant sustain 4 quarters so sub.

Cam Delaney unlucky, but with McMahon coming back in someone had to make way, he has a future once he bulks up a bit. Luke Delaney has shown he cannot match it with the bigger bodies at AFL level so really there is no spot unless theres an injury (Grimas form pending).

Goldstein is dead weight with HMac returning.

After seeing his presser I think it will be minimal changes.
Out:pedo,Warren
IN:Hansen,Edwards

Is it round 11 when we can upgrade Gibson as I believe he will take the place of Cunnington?

Ins:
Hansen - deserves his chance
Wright
Mullett
Edwards

Outs:
Harvey - suspended, injured, dropped whatever
Warren - not good enough
Pedo - shouldn't have played. Bon's fault.
Firrito/L.Delaney - Mullett/McKenzie get the chance to play a full game down back

McMahon won't be straight back in after this long out with an illness.

Garlett, Sirra and Speight's VFL form doesn't warrant a promotion. Unfortunately.

LA will probably be brought back. I wouldn't though.

Edwards brought back and put on notice straight away. Black after his spot this time.

Another game like that please Humpire :thumbsu:

And Hansen must stay in the side for at least 5 games, allowing him to get comfortable and adapt to AFL level. Enough of this, put a KPF in for 1 round and drop them.

Brad needs to put Hansen in a position and leave him there.

No swithcing him here there and everywhere. Let him settle into a position and see what he has to offer.

If after 5 rounds he brings nothing to the table then out and goneski.

Thats why he needs to be a Key Defender IMO.

If he goes forward he is just going to get lost in the whole 2 Ruckmen + Petrie mish mash. No doubt leading wide and away from the ball to create space more often than not.

He is our second best KP. We should have one forward (Petrie) and one back, IMO thats Hansen.

We have 4 blokes above 192cm in the backline already. No room for Hansen there.

Good luck in this match, tbh I don't give our boys much of a chance of beating you down there with where we're at in our development - and I'm considered somewhat of an optimist on the Lions fortunes. I'll be at Etihad for the match so hoping for it to be competitive, but I think you are just a class above. I've seen glimpses of what North are capable of this season, and despite a quiet past few weeks I think you'll rebound strongly this weekend.

I'm just hoping for a competitive match and a good game of footy, but I'm sure you'd like the opposite of that. Either way, good luck and looking forward to Sunday :thumbsu:

What does that have to with the price of fish?

Unless those players are playing great footy they have no right to play down back over any other player on our list of that height.

I think Lachie is and always has been a key defender, but for some strange reason he has never been allowed to settle into the backline.

In fact it was only a few years back that he was playing great footy down back and badly tore his hamstring.

He may not be the answer but neither are our current back 6.

I reckon our backline is fine, all things considered. Replace one of the talls with McMahon and the balance is better.

If Hansen is to get a game about now, it will be up forward.
