If it’s going to be a slog fest up there and treloar is going to be out I would do the following.

Out: McComb sweet scahche treloar (inj)
In: English Richards Garcia McNeil

O’Brien to chop out in the ruck, English plays 80% time in there any way. West and Garcia to take treloars midfield minutes.
Not in favour of dropping sweet for this game.
Should have a licence to hurt as many opposition in close as he can, serve the suspension, and then come back and do the same against the cats.
If a post-game security escort of Sweet off the SCG and Kardinia Park isn't required, he hasn't done his job.

Going to be a mud fight on Friday, had over 50mm of rain so far up here in Sydney today and as below lots more to come, add that to the fact that nothing has dried out since the 3-4 months of rain up until early June. Good games for players built low to the ground like West, Libba, Garcia and Weightman

It’s been a common theme for a while with people wanting Sweet to go out there and hurt opposition players. I suspect some are said in jest (as yours may have been) but I don’t think people can both want this from Sweet and also complain about Greene, Mumford, Preuss, etc. being grubs (appreciating you personally may have not made such contradictions).

Will be interesting to see what we do with on the mark rule this week vs Sydney. Wet conditions so every meter counting, you don’t want to be giving up more than you have to.

We should be fighting for every inch not giving it away

When do you think the swans board will start sooking about the amount of bulldogs free kicks. We will probably get the same go as we got in the last game against the lions up there but we do not sook like they do.

The first free you get will probably get it rolling.

But gameday threads in all boards are just a mix of nonsense and overreaction.

What we aren’t even allowed to get one?? :)

FOLL- Sweet Libreatore Bontempelli

with Garcia, mclean, cleary, richards available i think its time to send a message to williams, we need last year williams not mediocre williams, give him a couple of weeks at VFL to find form

I think Williams has been pretty decent on the wing this season. Has been beyond awful every game he has played back. I’d rather he just got pushed back onto the wing than out of the team completely.

Bring the snorkels SCG will be under water probably.
Is English going to be back this week?
Message out of the club seem to be he trained before the Brisbane game and was okay but they took a conservative approach so expect English to be right for this weekend.

English and Richards are 90% probability to play

Why is Schache unlucky?

I think Schache has a reasonable claim for the secondary tall forward/back Up ruck spot based on ability and performance history, however considering JUH gave one of his more encouraging performances against Brisbane, combined with the fact that I am suggesting Sweet maintain his spot rather than relying on English to ruck alone straight up, means I would drop Schache based on this week's particular circumstances. He unlucky because he is arguably a better player than a few who look like hanging onto their spots, e.g. McComb, JUH, Bedendo, Gardner, and T'OB.

If it was up to me, he’d be the first player dropped.

No doubt he’s got more natural talent than a lot on the list, included some of those you mentioned. But, his ongoing picking and choosing when he wants to play well, his unwillingness to put effort in to every game he plays and his regular reluctance to get his hands dirty when it’s his time to go is now at the ridiculous level.

He looked liked he’d turned a corner last week. Was probably the most mature game I’d seen him play. And then to cough up what he did on Thursday night was as a disgraceful pea heart effort as I’d seen from any player in the comp this year.

He’s had that many chances to come good, and he lets himself and his teammates down time and time again.

He seems a ripper kid, and I’ve spent a lot of his time at the Dogs defending him and his form. Particularly early days. But he needs to be told what’s what.

I’d rather go smaller than have Schache take the piss again.
