WRONG - MJ's had tooo many chances now - he still can't get his head around the idea that EVERY game counts - 100% effort/endeavour required. If it was me he'd be dropped and never to play seniors again - trade him at end of year or delist - he is becoming a cancer on the whole team being allowed to play seniors after putting in those efforts. After all the BS that is MJ and the lack of respect back for he club and his team - if he's still on the list next year, I'm dropping my membership - absolutely had it with him in our team. I prefer Kep's everyday to a lazy bum with talent that's rarely shown.

Walters needs a stern talking to - its a fckn team sport - he needs to be corrected now before its too late - was expecting great things from him this year, but it has been very fleeting so far.

I think sports shrink needed to remind them the reason they're there, and get them to focus on EVERY flipping game, rather than getting all complacent with where some of them think they are at - dropping's the best solution for it - no allowance for passengers.

Skill errors tonight absolutely flipping rediculous.

MJ out and Griffen in, Play Keplar as the Sub (I actaully love Keplar) but my theory is 2 legitimate Ruckman in the first half rotating up forward. Bring Kepar on after half time to run like made and creat up forawrd and Sandi plays Ruck for almost the full second half. Also with 2 big bodies in the first half a fresh Kepar would be more competitive when Sandi needs a rest in the second.

Means we start with an extra Mid which can only help.


Also Crowls - he is supposed to be our tagger. Tagged squat tonight. i could forgive the skill errors if he did his job. Tonight he didn't.

We also desparately need a lock down defender on small forwards. Alright to have creative running half backs but small forwards have killed us 2 weeks in a row.

I thought jvb was good and I wanted him out last year . Just a shame Varcoe was allowed to run loose for so long before we did something . The annoying thing was the same thing happened the last time we played them.

Agreed that we don't need to make wholesale changes. We played mostly quality football that was just ruined by poor finishing.

But other than a good mark late, MJ was a ****ing liability. Anthony could sit in the goalsquare and do nothing and still be more valuable to the team. At least he'd drag a defender back with him.

Well I'm not going to defend MJ any more. He was awful. Would actually like to see Zac come in, he was great in the curtain raiser game.

Other than that I thought JVB was dreadful when he had the ball and just as soft as MJ in a couple of contests. Did he tag Varcoe in the 2nd half? I suppose he did that job but he's a liability with the ball. If Ibbo is back get rid of him.

Perhaps Anthony would straighten us up a bit?

I had the feeling scott has them playing exactly like we were last year.
In that first half they were putting immense pressure on us all around the ground.
Sometimes u would see 3 geelong players closing in around the freo player with ball who then has to handball over the top an then 3 more close in on him until they turn it over.
Its what we did so well last year.
Then they look to attack through the corridor something we did last year also but hardly done it at all this year.

Our pressure in forward line s still fantastic but once it gets out there is no where near the pressure around the ground we saw last year.

But had we kicked straight instead of missing so many easy shots we could of pinched it.

Out MJ needs a kick up the ass
Duffman some seriously weak efforts, didnt want to put his body on the line at all.

In Anthony Unless we finally play Pav forward he isn't needed.

Definitely MJ out. I don't agree with people saying he's a cancer though, that borders on outrageous, but was utterly woeful tonight. And Crowley as well, ridiculous, he is great on his day. Sure, poor tonight but he wasn't alone. Don't change the team apart from MJ out/Anthony in. I was shocked Anthony wasn't in from round 1 to be perfectly honest, since Pav is in the midfield now, surely Anthony is the most suitable replacement for the forward line??

MJ has to be dropped. A deadset liability. Also sends a terrible message to the team being a passenger week in week out. That kick and turnover into the corridor with 30 seconds left before 3/4 time was unforgiveable.

Agree that Johnson needs a spell in the WAFL he shows no desperation and made far too many errors. I would like to see Jack Anthony get a run to see if he can straighten us up. We skirted around the boundary far too often and he runs in straight lines and can kick goals.

Back on topic, exactly what position is MJ supposed to be playing? Calls for him to be dropped are fine, but to be replaced by either SNOS/ Ibbo (defence / mid), or JA ( likely forward), I find a bit confusing. This of course assumes that there are no other major changes...
