I have no idea how they come up with those figures. No doubt they will have the Crows at lower strength with guns Nathan Van Berlo and Sam Shaw missing.

Swings and roundabouts eh.

We're just lucky Jake Melksham wasn't in the Dees lineup last week.

Weird melts going on. Not much left to choose from. Who's available that should be playing?

Maybe a bit light on in defence but all our remaining defenders are in the medical room, and once it gets down there we are going to get punished anyway. Better off adding a extra mid in Toumpas who has been playing well for the magpies and deserves his chance. Neade for Wingard and Schulz for Dixon. Woah what a disgrace lol.

I'm a Jay Schulz fan and whether this is a farewell or a one last chance to see if he still has it game I think he is a lot more deserving of getting this opportunity than Butcher.

Butcher and Schulz both rocked up at Alberton at the same time and if we are comparing output of each one and what they've given to this footy club, the decision on who gets the final 2 games this year is pretty bloody simple.

I'm willing to give Jay Schulz the respect he deserves.

What an odd way to look at things.

Many are predicting that they'll both get the chop at the end of the year, so in that case you definitely play Schulz and give him a farewell. If we are looking at keeping one, I think we need to give Jay another opportunity. Neither are long term prospects.

I would have been more confident if the club selected a random drunk of the hill, then play Lobbe.

QUOTE of the year right here.
We are stufed gentlemen we are stuffed.
Jake Stringer has been dropped after Macrae and others last year.

standards...
You have to remember they are only playing Essendon. ;)

Firstly, Jay's story is an argument FOR keeping Butcher. He didn't hit his straps until he was 26 after which he became a ketsone forward for the club over the next few years.

Secondly, Jay arrived as a 24 25 year old with an AFL ready body and some experience who until this year has not suffered chronic injuries that I am aware of. Butcher has had been injured for a significant portion of his time on the list, and didn't arguably have an AFL ready body for the first two years he was on the list, starting as an 18 year old.

Third, there is room for both of them in the Showdown side in what one thinks will have to be Butcher's farewell game. He is much loved for his atitude and loyalty, and it is a game that means sweet **** all. I understand getting games into Toumpas and Bonner, but we know what Neade brings to the table. Two games more ain't gonna make a jot of difference what we know about him.

Schultz started a year before Butch's first game
