I just hope we don't bring any of the kids in this week and expose them to the slapping we will get over there

I agreeFB: Easton Wood, Kieran Collins, Shane Biggs
HB: Bailey Williams, Zaine Cordy, Lukas Webb
C: Declan Hamilton, Mitch Wallis, Toby McLean
HF: Patrick Lipinski, Lewis Young, Bailey Dale
FF: Mitch Honeychurch, Tom Boyd, Caleb Daniel
FOL: Tim English, Marcus Bontempelli, Luke Dahlhaus
INT: Fletcher Roberts, Jack Macrae, Lachie Hunter, Jack Redpath
With this team we have a lot of young classy players which is very exciting
A very young spine who are all in good form. Can all develop together into a real force in the future
Wood, Biggs, Wallis, Dahlhaus, Roberts, Macrae, Hunter and Redpath the only players over 22 offering anything at the moment
Significant Omissions (not injured players)
Jake Stringer- form not up to scratch
Jason Johannisen- cant handle the inevitable tag
Tom Liberatore- been down all season- corky last week. Has to come back through the VFL
Matthew Suckling- kicking his only weapon, and its not even really a weapon. A bit like a butter knife
Clay Smith- been OK, needs to knock the door down
Tom Campbell- had a cracker against norf. However, he is too slow and I would rather watch English develop
Matthew Boyd, Dale Morris, Robert Murphy- hard call, but gotta play the kids. All look a bit off the pace which is not a good sign
Jordan Roughead- not one of my favourite people right now- lets just leave it at that
Liam Picken- been a bit off this year. Go back to VFL and demand a recall thankyou
Tory Dickson- please offer something or we wont offer you anything either. Works both ways

YepI agree
When so many players are out of form, coming up with changes becomes a raffle. From last week's game at least 6 players were so poor that they should be planning their routes to the Trevor Barker Oval for the next Footscray game. Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of finding enough replacements. Assuming that Libba is fit, it's:
Out: Dickson In: Smith
Out: Honeychurch In: Libba
Out: Roughead In: Roberts
Stringer, Wallis, Suckling and JJ all need to extract the digit or they will all be VFL bound soon.
If it wasn't an interstate game, I'd look at bringing in a 1st gamer (Young) or a 2nd gamer (Collins).
He's played a few bad ones over the years but this was the lowlight. Looked lost at fullback, conceded goals to the opposition, couldn't get to contests to effectively spoil (or ruck on one crucial occasion) and didn't look comfortable in any role to which he was assigned. To be fair, he's only ever been effective in the ruck and due to our lack of tall defenders, he's had to fill a gap back there. Overall though, he had a stinker.I haven't seen the game was Rough that bad??
I haven't seen the game was Rough that bad??
He was. But he was also playing in defense first, ruck second. And this is even though we tried him as a KPD a few years ago under Macca - and he routinely got massive bags kicked on him. He's been tried as a forward, he's been tried as a defender, but we've seen that his best position is as a ruck. However with Campbell in the team, he has to be the main ruck, and with Red up forward, and without a tall defender, Roughie has to play in defense. So he's not playing his ideal position, but if Campbell isn't being dropped, that means Roughie either stays in as a defender or gets dropped. I'd much rather play Fletch (far more capable defender than Rough) and see Roughie find ruck form in the 2s and knock down the door to get Campbell dropped from the 1s.
So I ask is it fair to drop a bloke that isn't playing in a position he should be?
Why have the mc this year played so many blokes out of position therefore effecting performance and Confidence?
I'm baffled by Bevs selection from round 1, I hate to say it I think he has been awful and at times worse than that
I agree. Roughy is being used incorrectly. I understood vs North because they had too many big blokes. But last week he should have reverted to ruck/ forward duties and Roberts should have played.

And if North had too many big blokes, the Crows could possibly have Walker, Jenkins, McGovern and Lynch if he came back in (although that sounds unlikely). Dale Morris often gets Betts, so there's one of our "tall" backs gone, we would need Roberts back in. Our perhaps see if Collins is ready to go on Jenkins (8 goals last year), try to stop those cheap out the back ones he got against us last year.
We don't generally play set match ups but this week don't expect Morris goes to betts just too many talls for the crows.
I would send jj to betts (pretty sure he did a good job on betts once before maybe 2015 at Etihad?) that way jj doesn't have to worry about getting the ball he just has to shut down a player and maybe he gets some confidence from it.
Morris can't play on smalls anymore he's lost too much speed. JJ needs to play anywhere except at half back this week, defending at either end of the ground might give him a chance to focus on something else.
