The midfield is at near full strength and Adelaide are essentially without theirs, you’d expect a complete domination in the territory for this game.

Libba, Picken and Clay have been known to contribute a little bit in the midfield. Far from full strength.

Caleb Daniel versus Rory Laird match up of the night can he quell his influence
like he did with Kade Simpson, Greenwood to Macrae, Gibson to Hunter would
be my theory. Paul Seedsman to be left alone to rack up an enormous fantasy
score as he does not hurt me with his possessions, oh I mean us. oops

Yep.

Has not been a more gracless premier other than Hawthorn.

It’s not just the prelims. Make no mistake every supporter in WA and SA want our club out of the comp.
I remember back in 1989 when we were on death row, the clubs and their supporters that supported us, wore the colours at the rallies and helped us collect donations were Richmond and Collingwood. There might have been others but they stood out.

Well game day has arrived. Normally go to one interstate each season. Still say the best game of football I ever been to was 2016 prelim final against the Giants at Spotless even better than the grand final. When Bont kicked that goal after the JJ run I was higher than Joe Cocker. Picked this game before the start of season to see the new oval. At start of the week I thought we get pumped now the teams have come out I think we are a real chance. All the money is now for the dogs $5.50 to $3.80. Go Dogs

Too tall ???? - we dropped two talls and brought two talls in - last week we had 1 ruck, no KPF and 3 KPD - this week we have 1 ruck, 1 KPF and 2 KPD

how the **** is that too tall?
you'll see tonight when they run rings around us on a wet track. Who apart from Gowers in our team is capable of providing manic pressure now

Dahlhaus?

Adelaide is taller by the way... they're going ro rely on Mackay and CEY for contested possessions and hardness. Lets be honest neither is that good
Hahaha tbf if Adelaide have that weak of a midfield we should be fine in that regard but I worry for future weeks

There are some things like that we should never forget. I can't hate Collingwood and Richmond.
You know who your mates are when the chips are down.

The scumbags from across the Maribyrnong however ...

wow - what planet are you on?

We were on Mars a couple of weeks ago - did they leave you there?

Eddie helped us more than a few times when he was host of TFS back in the day. Even hooked us up with sponsors.
Freo paid for Fitzroy's final game celebrations as the AFL bastards scheduled their last ever game as a Perth game.

Clubs actually do help each other a fair bit, and I'm sure quite a bit goes on behind the scenes.

This is why I reserve my true hate for Essendon and Carlton. Both tried to pick the bones of our corpse before we were even dead. Richmond, St Kilda and especially Collingwood stood by us.

I’m going to this - first away game in a long time - and now feel like we might be in with a shot, rather than the 10 goal defeat I envisaged a few weeks back.

Still a young team going across but you won’t get a better opportunity to beat the crows at AO than this. Good test of the group after a few good wins, albeit against poor opposition.

As an aside, if anyone has any recommendations for pre and post game beers that’d be appreciated :)
Queens Head or Cathedral Hotels are the closest. Good pubs that are both located at the northern end of AO.

From what I remember Essendon, Carlton, Hawthorn and Melbourne were the least sympathetic to our plight.

Heard that the Dogs returned the favour to Richmond when they had their Save Our Skins campaign.

I'm talking a three brownlow vote type of breakout game.
I feel like he's had a slow build to the point that if he had a three vote game now you'd just be like "yep, McLean" rather than think of it as a breakout. He never really had a breakout game I guess, just slowly got better and better.

I've drunkenly ranted to many a person about how Collingwood helped us out back then and will forever be my (distant) second favourite team.

Fair point. I just suspect he has yet another level to go to and think he is ready to absolutely tear a game apart one of these days. I know he is highly rated internally but I'd love to see him play the kind of game that makes the entire football community take notice.
