He needs to add 6 to 8 kgs of muscle but.

Then he could be one that monster forward we need.

Yep got some tricks, can kick it 50m, good one grab mark and especially like his speed.

Looking forward to him being consistent and he will be a hard match up

Jj is already heavier than tippett!

Just needs to work on mental strength.

Missed one person, who the **** goes out for Lynch? Do we drop a tall in Pods/JJ or do we drop a runner?

Lets just say for the sake of it:
M Crouch/Martin for B Crouch
Reilly for Hendo

Do we drop a Wright/Martin/Matt Crouch for Lynch since he's probably one of, if not the fittest/hardest working player in our side, or do we drop the tall?
He's probably just as quick as Wright and Crouch, with better marking ability and contributes more to our link between midfield and attack. Its a tough decision...
Yes we drop a wright type for lynch but if atrocious conditions pods makes way.

It doesn't look like it but he has to learn how to use it then.

He needs to clunk a few.
Agree with he doesn't know how to use his strength but needs to be smarter & run the likes of firitto around rather than wrestle him - particularly as hard to stop on a lead.

But we don't have many forwards lead strongly at the ball carrier. They can but the way we play, they don't often lead directly at the ball.

But yes - he needs to have 3 or 4 leads in one passage of play by not standing still.

I think Brad Crouch and Charlie Cameron will come straight back in. I feel sorry for Martin and Wright if they're the two to make way though. Wright actually played pretty well last night, and I've been reasonably impressed with Martin this year.

In saying that, B.Crouch is (or will be) on a level equal to sloane and danger, and Charlie has been amazing. They have to come back in

Leave Brad Crouch in the SANFL and get him as ripe as possible for the showdown.

Give Hendo another 2 weeks in the SANFL also. Im worried about bringing him into what will be a hotly contested showdown. While he has improved in this area, Hendo can be a little soft sometimes and cherry picks on the outside. Yes, that is primarily his role given his pace and elite kick, however we are going to need all 22 players cracking in against the pear. Coming off of a fractured leg doesn't help the situation either....

Do we dare rest Danger? Id say yes. He seriously looks like he's operating at under 50% efficiency, he's seriously laboring.

Will probably go in unchanged for the bombers this week. Probably give Cameron one more week as well to rest up. Bombers aren't all that quick coming out of their backline in terms of athleticism, so I reckon we should be right for one more week.

If we're going to rest danger we wait until the game against GWS IMO. He may be below his best, but the next 2 games are vital

Sanderson said he can't wait until Henderson returns to the side because it will allow Laird or Smith to push up into the middle. He also said Brodie Smith will eventually play in the middle within the next two years where he'll be one of the premier midfielders in the competition. (In last nights Presser)
Huge call, but you can see Smith has some serious weapons. Pretty much a right footed suckling but with a more contested side to his game, don't forget this kid was a clearance specilist in his draft year. He's got what it takes. Can't wait to see him playing in the middle.

Smith reminds me of Judd to be honest. Could transform our midfield from good to elite.

Hendo, or whoever takes Smith's spot across HB, will need to be pretty bloody good.

All top four quality sides have a top quality HB rebounding defender. If Smith adds to our mids, but our ability to attack from HB is depleted the net gain is minimal.

That's why I seriously believe we should be playing Dangerfield on the wing. He can offer that outside speed we need. Crouch and smith offer that inside speed with Sloane and Douglas that grunt.

c: Dangerfield - Crouch - MacKay
R: Jacobs - Sloane - Smith

Yes but Danger is by far our best clearance player, would like Smith on the wing kicking long range goals. Don't think Sloane is particularly good in the middle as we would like. Maybe Matt Crouch instead?

Fit and firing that is a seriously good midfield. Crouch will be key to letting Danger play more outside.

Surely you joke. The bloke is a contested ball machine. Third behind Ablett and JPK this season.

And that is not matthew Jaensch.

He is a good stop gap player in a bottom 8 side and yes he's having his best season but I don't see him have that much more improvement.

Henderson and VB would be my pick for now.

Jenkins has been absolute garbage the last 2 weeks. Before that he was excellent for about 6 weeks.
He''ll need to extract the digit coz Lynchy wont be far away and will take his spot at the moment...Not even his backup ruckwork would be an ace up JJs sleeve.

Imo m crouch will make way before wright.

Agree with Cameron for Martin as long as he is fit.

FFS JJ is leading our goal kicking this year, don't turn on him so quickly

I agree that he stays in the side. He just needs to be told to lift the intensity. His effort level the last 2 games has not been AFL standard. As long as he is being made aware of this issue, I have no qualms with his ongoing selection.
yeah, agreed. He's playing in the same timid way he did coming back from his broken ankle/leg at the start of the year.

makes me wonder if he's carrying something minor at the moment.

JJ has had a terrible two weeks. Before that, he was in pretty good form. He just needs to get more involved, because i barely saw him in the first half last night.

That's true - not an argument. However, I believe Crouch sn can reach that same level next year and offer just as much inside clearance work as Dangerfield does on the inside.

However, one area we really struggle on is the outside run and carry and apart from Dangerfield I'm not confident we have anyone else who can help us improve in this area.

What we may lose by moving Dangerfield to the outside, we will certainly pick up with Crouch sn and then the team will come out much bigger winners with Dangerfield on the wing.

It's a win win in my book.
