The ones that shit me are when the balls in play and by exaggerating the contact he goes to ground or otherwise takes himself out of the play. He has to eliminate it from his game and as others have said its disappointing that the coaches haven't made him stop because it's costing the team
So much this. I don't like bagging any of our players as such though I do acknowledge their weaknesses and limitations.

Aside from his rubber chest [emoji12] I believe this is one of the major factors in his so far not reaching what seems/seemed to be a very high and decorative ceiling that'd be littered with highlights images and GIFs that'd make Michelangelo blush.

His mindset somewhere along the line has been sidetracked like an Italian train. Perhaps it was the 2015 GF [emoji24]

No reason to rush Petrie back in. The difference between a 34 old Drew Petrie and Fraser McInnes is minimal.

Fraser almost took more marks against the dogs than Giles has taken in his 5 games this season.

Yeh, can't see any possible way Petrie will come in to replace Big Frase. He had a good game last week & showed 'intent'. (have to admit I had doubts about his selection, very happy that he proved me wrong).
Think Petrie alluded to it in a recent interview stating he was happy to play WAFL.
That aside, it would be very poor decision. Don't think the MC are that silly.

Hmm...Nelson, Cripps and Mutimer on extended bench with Hill, Mutimer, Wellingham and Redden. Seems like Butler is safe, perhaps Mutimer and Redden out for Nelson and Cripps. Would be disappointing for Mutimer to be dropped...

"As suspected, three men who have been on the injury list in recent weeks – ruckman Drew Petrie, defender Jackson Nelson and forward Jamie Cripps – are all in the selection frame, but we are none-the-wiser as to whether they will play.

They have all been named on an extended seven-man interchange bench, along with four others who were part of the victorious team against the reigning premiers, Western Bulldogs, last Friday night. Jack Redden, Sharrod Wellingham, Josh Hill and Kurt Mutimer make up the rest of the preliminary bench.

The extended bench will be trimmed tomorrow, but until then we are left guessing to some extent."

Agree.

Cripps was meant to be out much longer, so I think an extra week will only do him good injury-wise. Also I don't think you can say he's been sorely missed.

Petrie isn't a walk up start.

I would bring Nelson in as I think we may need him in defence against the Bombers' forward setup. I gather you might disagree with that one though, given the likely out...

Nelson is great, definitely a future regular in our 22 and an important player moving forward.
Problem for him is his competition is our greatest half back since Wirrapunda and our Banfield The 2nd.
Butler's experience and cool head will feature heavily in his second flag.
