We have 8 defenders playing tomorrow (not including Williams). It certainly isn’t that simple. We moved Caleb out of backline because he was exposed defensively.

Our new game plan seems to also be relying on speed off half back which he does not have.

He's struggled with his body over the past couple of seasons and just hasn't strung consistent performances together at VFL level.

Has had 2 very strong games this year, another good performance or 2 should see an opportunity come his way.

Nah Garcia is definitely the type of player Bevo likes and has gotten a few runs in the past, but not really at his natural position in the middle due to our depth there. There's not really a spot for him currently and wouldn't make a ton of sense to bring him in and sit in a fwd pocket. Hopefully gets a look in over the next few weeks and a few midfield rotations to show his stuff.

for me best team we have had in all season.
I love the little man as much as any , however his disadvantage when the ball is in the air is to great now for us to cover.
 
Not what I expected but not upset. Think this is our optimal tall defender set up as many others have said. Interested to see how Buku copes now he’ll presumably need to do more ground ball and rebound stuff, I feel like undersized KPD2 may actually be his best role even though it’s not ideal for the team

At a guess one of Williams or Dale up the ground and the other sub

Not saying it's the wrong call but interesting that we have 2 players that fit this description (and a third who perhaps isn't far off joining them) whilst I can't think of any other player at any other club.

I don't know but Tom Mitchell seems to be in a similar position at the Pies, Lyons at Brisbane, Ross at St Kilda, Matt Crouch.
All are similar type players who were once good players who were backbone of the team type players. It seems that slower players that can't move the ball rapidly by foot are not required in the game at the moment.
For me it's still important to be able to get the ball. You can afford maybe one player in this category but no more than that. It has morphed into a completely explosive game so run and spread from stoppage is at a premium now.

Would be disappointed if we won by anything less than 10 goals.
 
Hi, sorry to intrude, but is there a reason Ticketmaster is saying there are no tickets (at all available) for tonight's game? Is it actually a complete sell out? I was trying to get GA tickets for me and my 2 kids. Thanks a lot

he was named BP last week too.
Not watched Dogs too closely so if he has been poor then fair enough and he could be it also as needs to be one of these defenders (not counting Williams)

Butters, Rozee and JHF is a very good midfield. One that will give ours a run for their money when we play them.

Ticketmaster sometimes releases more tickets at midday-ish. I'd try again late morning.

Whilst we expect a large crowd, I'd be surprised if it's a sellout...but the Essington faithful were up and about until they went to Adelaide, so tickets might have been heavily bought last week.

And nobody in Melbourne got to see their team live last week unless they travelled to Adelaide so a lot of fans will be suffering withdrawal symptoms.

My personal guess is Dale or Macrae, but who knows. Don't think it'll be Sanders but he is a risk of being subbed off late if no injuries.
