There's someone who read the stat sheet after the game without actually watching it.

His disposals were cheap and worthless, he panicked under pressure, he didn't run at all, never tried to help Sloane, and he was flogged within an inch of his life by Jack Viney. Worst of all, he spent almost the entire game with his head down, and in no way looked like a player who wanted to be there, or was willing to contest to the level required of an AFL footballer. He's always had the appearance of attitude problems, but now they're overwhelmingly evident. If he doesn't want to be there, isn't putting in any effort, and isn't playing anywhere near well enough to be there, then he absolutely must be replaced with someone who does want to be there - and that way we can see if the player who does have the desire and work rate, like Greenwood, has the talent to keep himself there.

Speaking of peddling the same dull crap every week,
Did you watch anyone else besides Matt and Brad?

And we all know you dont need to have watched Brad play to bag him. You've admitted that.

I have never put any poster on ignore but breath-taking stupidity is hard to stomach.

No one would suggest that Brad played well the last 2 weeks but to pick him out for 2-3 months in the SANFL shows your bitterness runs deep.

For the record he had 26 possessions at 61.5% (equal 3rd), 14 contested possessions (2nd to Laird) and 6 clearances (2nd to Douglas on 7) in 66%TG.
If you want to see what a shocking performance how does 12 possessions at 58.3%, 1 contested possession and zero tackles in 76% TG sound?

No one cares about your vendetta against the Crouches (funny how you have come back to BigFooty in the last 9 days).

Opinions are like arse-holes, everyone has one but there is no point peddling the same crap week after week.

My changes would be

Out - Menzel (regardless of injury), Mackay (I just can't take it anymore), Otten (great guy but is not in our best 22) and Kelly (see Otten).

In - The MIGHTY THOR (because he is), Lever (we really missed him), Knight (providing his buttock is better) and Beech (it's time).

You not worried about players that are so far out of form they may aswell not even be running on teh field like JJ and Hampton?

If you're still willing to defend him after he's proven, yet again, that he's not even close to the player you believe him to be in your minds eye, then there's little that can be done for you.

Inside midfield gets battered so badly that we lose by 60 points, let's blame David Mackay and Josh Jenkins!

Inside midfield gets battered so badly that we lose by 50 points, at home, a week later, let's blame David Mackay and Josh Jenkins! And Hampton!

Stop making excuses, it's time for Brad to go.

gonna be interesting. Multiple changes seem unlikely, but, but, the more you look at it the more logical it appears.

The change I would like to see is Campo. Our outside 'game' has been deficient for years.

Are you saying what you think, or what you think the club believes?

Because while I can imagine the club thinks it's fine, no reasonable observer could possibly think Brad isn't under the gun for a pair of shit performances in a repeat of last year, that were essentially the core reason behind the loss.

Yeah, absolutely no doubt about, not even a shadow of a doubt that our last two poor performances are solely all down to Brad Crouch and the other 21 players that took the field should all send him to purgatory for letting them all down so badly! You sir are nothing but a miserable campaigner!

The core reason?. Nobody, and I mean nobody with a fair mind apart from someone with a bitter, twisted agenda could single out one player alone as the core reason for the two dismal performances of the last 2 weeks.

Brad and Matt are good players, I don't expect them to be the saviours. What I expect is a decent midfield consisting of Sloane, Brad, Matt and 2 quality mids.

That combination would be a very good midfield.

I don't expect or am I saying they are both elite players. But they form a part of the puzzle. For you it's their great or if they aren't they are shit. It's not their fault the club has failed to bring players in.

As for Mackay, you can't hold the Crouch boys responsible for Mackay being brushed aside when he goes near the ball.

To be fair, Hampton IS playing as an inside mid. He just doesn't know what the **** he is doing.

Hate to say it folks, but Thompson may be a choice for this week. Haven't seen him running around in the SANFL, but one thing for sure, at a clearance, opposition players need to earn it standing next to Thommo. He is a brute and we have laced brute clearance in the last 2 weeks. In fact, our much talked about run and carry has been shut down and what the club needs to be capable of doing is playing a possession game in matches like the Roos and Dees debacles. Whether Thommo can still do it, I cannot say due to the above statement, but getting more centre clearance evenness and ripping some heads off I am still confident he can do

Changes v Brisbane:

Out: B. Crouch, JJ, Menzel, Milera, Hampton, Otten, Mackay
In: Knight, Lever, Greenwood, ....., B. Crouch, JJ, Menzel, Milera

There must be at least 3 to 4 changes this week imo otherwise the club is not serious about becoming better and building depth within the club. If there is the token 1 change, then pyke will be allowing his authority to be usurped by an underperforming player group and the club would be signalling that it's content with mediocrity on the field while numbers are good off.

There is no point dropping Jenkins at this stage. We all know he struggles with anything more than a bruised fingernail BUT he has been one of the best key forwards in the AFL in 2015 and 2016. He has played poorly over the last 2 weeks but so has about 20 other players. The forwards were given no chance against the Kangas and all the forwards struggled on Saturday night.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Hampton dropped (Greenwood for Hampton is a straight swap) however he played well defensively in the first 6 weeks.

Otten deserves to keep his place before some I have retained but I doubt if even you believe he is a better key forward/ruckman than Jenkins. Talia, Lever and Hartigan are in front of him as tall/tallish defenders so IMHO he is the next in line if any of these guys are not available.

Kelly is a very honest footballer but I would prefer to see what the next players in line have to offer. Menzel works hard and always looks like he about to have a breakout game but he must kick goals if he wants to keep his spot.

I would like to see some or all of Greenwood, Beech, Wigg, Poholke, Doedee and Gallucci given a chance over the next 8 weeks. Can we afford to keep playing journeymen who make little or no difference to team performance on their best day's out?

Don't think he can play our preferred game style with Matt in the side. It's too one dimensional and slow in the middle and he's even slower than last year.

Up to 35mm of rain forecast for Saturday. Unfortunately this means Thommo is probably a lock to come in.

At least rain means the other team will likely fumble the ball just as much as us.
Greenwood isn't afraid of getting in there and getting dirty. Hell, he's even bigger than Thommo too.

For me, I want to see what we have.

Greenwood, Beech, Wigg, Dear.

Dear at FF, Betts / Beech in the pockets.

That means Menzel and Jenkins have a rest.

Greenwood replaces Douglas.

Wigg replaces Mackay.

I know it's tough, but Otten comes out if Lever is fit.

Now I acknowledge that 5 changes is impossible. TOTALLY.

It's as unlikely as Douglas or Mackay being held to the same standards as everyone else.

So what will probably happen is something horrible like Thommo in.

I've finally gotten a majority of people to accept that Matt is what he is, an inside accumulator with no hurt factor, just a solid workman, a middling utilitarian piece in a large puzzle filled with holes.

Sooner or later people are going to have to accept that whatever ceiling they thought Brad had after his first year, he's never going to be that player, to the point that his remaining positives are far outweighed by his negatives - but as per, the club remains the last to realise this, because the AFC doesn't even know the meaning of sunk cost fallacy.

For Brad to be an effective AFL player - he'll never be a great one - he needs to do some soul searching in the SANFL, and decide whether he's finally going to develop the attitude and the work rate required of a player with limitations, or 'retire' to state league football, because he can't coast on talent anymore.
