My money is on Otten. He is clearly the heir-apparent to Mackays throne. It would be interesting to go through the whipping boys since the club started and create a list in order.
1. Alan Bartlett
2. Darren Smith
3. Matthew Liptak

GOOD! I'm on track to retain membership in 18.
Hope this has the effect of shaking the players up and teaches them that you have to perform to remain in the side.
Galluci is the interesting one in this. Came from left field. I thought Beech was ahead of him.

If we bought in Beech we'd unbalance our side IMO. We likely dropped Jenkins because the coaches realized we were too tall forward.

Love the selections, what it shows is that we are willing to give the group an out for one week but you had better respond or you're out regardless of your name or contract.

Westies Full-back might be a bit concerned.

Hope not. Douglas has been okay this year. Kelly probably closest to the exit, followed by Otten, from those 3.
Kelly had some poor games in a row before coming back and playing brilliantly against Richmond.

I think Douglass is having a great year as is Otten, Kelly started shaky but is starting to get a lot more consistent, Harto has gone backwards and Hampton is going nowhere

Otten has done far, far better than Mackay.

He's still finding form again IMO. Do we remember how Tex was first back from his injury?

I really want to see Hampton lift this week.

Harto had some good games and some shockers. Not much in between.

I'm enthused to see what Greenwood and Galluci can do, but I'm less impressed with the outs, they've taken the easy road rather than the correct one.

Your boy will be next week hopefully if he spuds it up again.

I Reckon the sheep attitude whipping boy will be Douglass, Otten maybe Kelly this week

Kelly is the only player on our list that I recall sticking up for one of his teammates. He went over to help Hartigan a few weeks ago. After watching absolutely nobody help out Sloane the last 2 weeks Kelly is off my whipping boy list indefinitely.

By the way didnt you lose a bet just now with Mackay out.

Sorry, I should have made it clear. Doesn't mean I think this, it's just an observation of this boards general opinion and where it's headed. Otten played one average game this year against North and people on here were ready to kiss him goodbye. Thats what I was leaning towards.

His first six weeks were impressive. Very average last two games. Up to him now whether he has a future.

An interesting exercise might be comparing this weeks side with what I would like to see line up in a qualifying final..

In: McGovern, Cheney, Jenkins
Out: Otten, Kelly, Galluci

Poor Gooch, written him off before even getting on the field. What if he tears it up.

He played in preseason plus all that sanfl - we know at least a little about him
If you're happy with the club's handling of Harrison Wigg fine....I'm not.

In my opinion he has at least shown enough at SANFL level to be worthy of a crack at AFL in place of several that have or were at different times largely under performing.
