Ive got a good feeling Red and Cloke are gonna kick bags. If anything our defence is suspect. But Brisbane don't have a Daniher to terrorise us nor do they have Essendons ball movement through the middle. Here's hoping our renaissance continues and our mids gain and hold the ascendancy.

**** this board.

To try to have a genuine discussion and cop crap for that and get shit posts that add nothing to the discussion directed at me **** it

Got enough shit going on with out coping it here for trying to have a genuine discussion.
Hey mate. You okay?
If you want to talk about anything chuck us a pm. I know most on here don't know each other but I like to think of us as one (rather disfunctional) family. Nobody is alone.

If indeed we make a final after a string of good wins and a bit of luck, it could eventuate that Murph doesn't make the cut due to form or a fitness query. In that scenario I would feel very sorry for him considering the work he has put in to get this far. On the other hand, sympathy shouldn't be a factor in selecting the best team possible and I'm sure he would understand that.

He would be playing today against Brisbane if fully fit - in fact Bev hinted he still might.

So the question is - if fully fit - does he play when Dickson, Stringer, Dunkley and T.Boyd all come back?

I think he does. Those four would replace four out of C.Smith, Cloke, Redpath, Webb, Dale and Williams.

And that's just on form. In addition none of the above offer the on-field leadership that Murphy does.

So even if all four of Dickson, Stringer, Dunkley and T.Boyd become available (unlikely) and assuming no more injuries, I still reckon Murphy retains his place.
Pretty comfortably in fact.

The only risk would be if he's injured. Minor niggles are one thing but there's no place in the finals for a hobbled player.

What I got from the Presser re Bob is something like : 'we need Bob and his hamstring 100% for the huge GWS clash next Friday night. We won most games last year without him. I'm backing the selected 22 to win it tomorrow'.
Don't you love Bevo's pressers? He's pleasant, talks a lot, pretends to answer questions... And tells 'em nuthin'.

Is he a genuine chance this year?
What if he was only available in time for the GF (and we were in it)? I doubt I'd pick him for it if all the others were still fit. Last time back from a LTI (leg) he took a few weeks to come good. The most likely one to make way would be Young but he's building nicely ATM and offers a lot more height than Morris.
Adams is supposedly back running too!

Nice problem to have it comes down to that.

Most important thing today is to bank the four points. Percentage boost would be nice but Brisbane can be a decent side and despite for a sore Rockliff they don't have too many injury concerns. Our best gets the job done but it will be a danger game if we aren't on.

Big chance for Clay Smith. He was absolutely immense for us last year but hasn't got close to that level for us this year except for the second half against Richmond early in the year. Might not have been his season to date but if he can get back to last years form he could shape our run to the final. Absolute menace at his best.
