It is interesting to speculate who will go to who.

Pearce and Cox will take Morris and Hipwood. But then Brisbane have 4 small/medium forwards.

Ah Chee, Bailey, Cameron and Rayner. Any one of those could rip Chappy to shreds on current defensive form.

The massive obsession with whether Banfield or some other fringe player gets the 21-22nd spot is just weird.

There is a hundred other things that will make or break the biggest game of the season before that.
stop talking about player selections in a player selection thread. omg what are you obsessed!? like so weird guys!

🤦‍♂️

I beg the question if Walker or Simpson played identical games to Banfield on the weekend would anyone actually be calling for them to get dropped?

Banfield has done okay IMO and that's why hes staying over fringe players without AFL match practice.

Before round one next year, when no one has AFL match practice, I do expect Walker and/or Simpson to be back ahead but for now I can see why Banfield remains in.

They've got Day as well. Tempting to dismiss him, but we've seen players like him kick 3-4 against Freo before. McLean, Sharman, Petty a few from this year.

Ah Chee and Cameron haven't been kicking many goals lately. Could change of course.

Bailey and Rayner are as much mids as they are forwards, so our defenders will only be partly responsible for them.

Bailey's the one that usually gets us.

The year is 2925. Catastrophic nuclear war and the resulting fallout has seen much of the earth reduced to rubble. Signs of life are sparse and humanity is expected to never full recover.

That is until Bailey Banfield emerges from the ashes.

I feel that Banfield/O'Driscoll playing ahead of Walker/Simpson is the type of selection call that'll be heralded a masterstroke if we win i.e. JL backing in his core group that have played the majority of games. If we lose and those two play poorly he'll be regarded as conservative to the end, unwilling to take risks.

Hopefully the former.

If Walker played the same game as banners - yes absolutely people on here would be screaming about a mistake or 2.

If Simpson played the same game - faaark he’s good, should of (sic) had him in the whole time, JL doesn’t know jack

Bailey Banfield is the one that gets Brisbane. He’s got this game circled on his calendar in the kitchen.
