In: Krakouer
Out: Wines

Moore gets his chance to lead the grunt brigade, and Krak comes in with his speed and elite kicking on the fast Etihad track against the run n gun Bullies.

Amon to come in if Krakouer is still no good.
Yep. Krak should come in if fit. Amazing leg. Absolutely best 22 IMO

Monfries in would make sense we have to curtail one of Boyd, Murphy, Wood and to a lesser extent Johanisen. Impey was in best 3 players on ground last time we met and I really want him in but I just can't see him getting picked.

I would go Monfries-Wines
expecting Amon(sub)-Wines

Impey or Krak would be valuable. Especially to help Hombsch around Stringer and co. Hartlett to midfield. Monfries for forward pressure and hopefully a goal or two. Or will Jonas return?

I would have to say (apart from Wines) that perhaps Hoon to be dropped? Or Young?

Stated the gus will spend a week or two in the sanfl similar to Jonas; he's not coming in. Hartlett has had a few loose checking rather than tagging roles, moore can also make a useful defensive half forward but with wines out he would be more useful in the middle.

Surely we have to play Monfries next week. Heath Shaw is probably the inform half back of the competition right now, and he'll be doing cartwheels if Monfries' name is left off the team sheet. Shaw has been Monfries' bitch since Gus was at Essendon.

Probably Arch for Wines, but we've got 2 vice captains that really need to pull their fingers out. They are starting to head down Jonas territory, they need to turn it around before it gets that bad.

Selections should be horses for courses. Etihad quick surface, Bulldogs quick team that plays fast football.
Amon in for Wines, Impey for Colquhoun - some posters will be jumping up & down but Jars is so much quicker & hits / tackles so much harder, should be able to stop Dahlhaus. I've wanted Lobbe dropped for Harvey, but this isn't the game for Harvey. Krakouer in for Lobbe, Ryder to tear Campbell a new one.
Some concern in how to stop Murphy, Boyd & Wood rebounding like they have been - I would think kicking goals against them & making them accountable would be the way to go! Have a feeling if we can get the win, we're a sneaky chance for the finals.

Buddha Hocking says Billy Frampton leads the way by being aggressive and physical in contests.

He won't be picked, I just wanted to repeat that comment. :D

Jarman Impey
Good solid performance and had some good match-ups while down back. Courageous at times to stand under the ball and cop what came his way. Would like to see him use his weapons and run and carry the ball more.

It doesn't leave you with the warm fuzzy feeling you get from reading Billy's comments.

I don't understand people who don't rate muffins
Muffins is the wrong bakery product nickname, should be 'Turnovers'. How many from him in the 3rd quarter of the Saints game? By hand and foot. Annoyingly FootyWire doesn't seem to list this stat.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't turnovers counted as clangers? In which case he recorded 3 for the game in comparison to Gray with 9, White with 7, Boak with 5, O'Shea with 4 (and the list goes on).

I did notice a few turnovers. But I also saw him lace out a few of out players. His good kicks far outweighed the bad ones.

But you'll never her abou the good stuff on this board

Interesting and I don't know the answer to your question about only turnovers counting as clangers. I've just started watching the replay of the 4th quarter and early on we keep %$^&ing up kicks and handpasses but also keep possession as when we miss player X the ball is retrieved by player Y. Are those missed passes not counted as clangers because we keep possession? Probably. Three clangers by Colquhoun just sounds way low from what I saw in the 3rd quarter alone.

Okay I follow you now. AFAIK clangers are turnovers or bad mistakes (eg. deliberate or a fumble). I agree that if a shank is collected by another player then it's probably not counted as a clanger since we maintained possession. If he's doing things like that week in, week out though eventually it'll catch up to him since it's highly unlikely every time he shanks a kick it happens to luckily fall into one of our players' hands.

Annoyingly for my prejudices at approx the 16 min to go mark of the 4th quarter Muffins played like a champion. He had several possessions in a row to set up a missed shot on goal from Boaky and a successful one from Lobbe. Apropos of our discussion during that time Ebert chipped a 30m pass to Colquhoun and effectively stuffed it up, kicking too high. But Muffins leapt high and just dragged it down by his fingertips as a Saints player waited behind him to claim it. The club's review will see Ebo's kick for the stuff up it was, the statisticians won't.

9 clangers!?!? That's insane!

7 by Matty White as well? I'm pretty disappointed.
