Colquhoun fair dinkum drove me mad last weak ... still wiping the dribble off my chin! The unforced errors had me throwing things at the TV, but he unquestionably ran all day, kept positioning himself well all game, and then made some great handballs & chest passes at other times to compensate ... I love him, hate him, love him, hate ......:confused:

But you know he will keep getting better. He will end up a good player for us.
He's going to be a very good player. He's very composed, sometimes too much such that he coughs up the footy. For someone so young though, he can certainly hit a target more often than not. Runs all day, effort never in question. Will never win the contested ball but if played between the wing and half back, he doesn't need to. I am more impressed watching him at Adelaide Oval (and other stadiums) than on TV, as a lot of what he does when in possession (such as sizing up the possibilities) can't be seen on TV. He reads the ball exceptionally well for someone of his age imo.

Good to see the vote of confidence in DBJ. Has he been an emergency before?

Would've preferred Ah Chee in (not even an emergency - wat?) but Impey shouldn't have been dropped last week so that's not too bad.
As much as I like Arch he's only had 15 disposals in each of the last two weeks in the SANFL, so it's not like he's banging the door down.

If you have correct structure and running patterns then your best option if the first one you have 90% of the time
So we can agree that the first option is the best one as long as your opposition agrees not to try and **** up your structure and running patterns. :)

The SANFL forward line looks good with Harvey, Butch, and Monfries, but we all know Butcher will end up at FB and Harvey in the ruck, leaving Gus one out...

Palmer has, DBJ hasn't. Both will play AFL next year hopefully.

Shaw, Howard and Frampton there too.

No, if your running patterns and structure is set up correctly you should have the confidence to back your gameplan in and take the game on

We go in too tall in the sanfl and too short in the afl. I don't understand why we can't carry a third tall in the afl side in a year where we are miles from the flag. Not to mention the fact it would structure us up better. This week would have been perfect, the tall defenders at the dogs are young as well and susceptible to mistakes.

Impey would have been in the brownlow votes if i gave them last time we met. Didn't expect it him to be dropped at first and then didn't expect him to be picked. Good to see Ken can drop him if there is no role for him as i agree if he's not a lockdown defender he's not in our best 22.
