Ty Gallop a definite out, Fages in his presser said Linc should be right to go v Carlton, just hamstring awareness, give him the week off.

Outs- Ty Gallop, Lincoln McCarthy.

Ins- Darragh Joyce, Sam Marshall.

Latest injury list says Noah Answerth should be good to go, Berry 2-3 weeks and Gardiner 3-4 weeks.

They will probably bring in Answerth over Marshall.

I already did it, see post #1 :D
Edit to put in a bit of analysis of the two clubs or something and you'll get yourself promoted!

Fagan was fairly positive about McCarthy but surely, he is an out.
Marshall and Brain getting overlooked by Fagan so far this season

Gallop - A key defender: Joyce, maybe Lloyd

McCarthy small defender or forward: Maybe Answerth depending how he is going
With Fletcher playing on the wing today (that's what it looked like on TV) they may just move him back to defense and bring in Tunstill as wing relief

I can't articulate why but I'm very wary about this game . Carlton have been very competitive against some reasonable sides and just can't finish off.

I'm dead set against playing Answerth. He needs more time. Likewise Gallop copped a monumental blow against Adelaide and I was surprised at how well he was going early but not surprised at all that he went into HIA out of a nothing incident.

I don't think afl clubs have any real handle on the impact of head injuries and hide behind 'protocols' which are at best limited.

This will be seen as a massive misstep by the industry in years to come.

If we don't kick 15 goals in the second half next week sack fagan
Who coaches Carlton next week ?

Weitering and Mckay look lost , just not competing . Walsh keeps giving it to the opposition . Cripps hasn't raised a sweat.

That's purportedly their best 4 players. They play well for enough periods of the game for it to be motivational . When real pressure is applied they give up.

If he has no symptoms why wouldnt he play.

Better not get in your car tomorrow, might have an accident.
Do you mean Answerth?

Multiple concussions in his career

2 back to back

The second one innocuous, implying even though he was cleared to play, he had a susceptibility to concussion.

And the last point is key - clearly the tests they pass are not picking up some sort of vulnerability. Or at the very least they could be missing something. So given the lifelong implications, why not wait an extra couple of weeks?

If it were my son I'd be on the phone to the club saying whatever you were thinking - add 2 weeks.

I think he meant Ashcroft.

But all points are valid. I was half shocked when we played him last time . About time clubs got a real wake up call on this. Too little duty of care. No well experienced neuro psychologist would allow some of these guys to play for a few weeks and the research evidence around the world is starting to back this up.

Carlton are one less ten minute brain fade away from actually winning a game. They have played well in big chunks of games.

If this was earlier in the season when their heads weren't wrecked and when we were a also having fade outs they would be licking their lips about the challenge of this game.

Unfortunately for them, their fades have become seemingly entrenched and ours are getting smaller.

Carlton will start strong, score will be even to half way through the second quarter when their brains will start screaming at them 'we are playing the premiers, we have no hope' and they will fall apart completely.

We will pounce, get 35 points ahead and sit there for the rest of the game.

On Saturday was ok considering most of the team were ordinary but just does not look like someone who can really drive attack from the defensive end. Competent kick and positioning but just doesn’t have that leg drive and risk capability that is critical to our team.
