Sylvia actually lifted in the second half. Moloney and Green being in the team ahead of him is just embarressing. Actually, i can't remember the last time Green played a good game... says something.

Who cares?

CA, don't forget the festival of the red card. Get these flogs out of here.

Very happy with the changes. Bate gets another chance because there was little he could do on Saturday. I don't like seeing Jamar injured but I'm always happy to see Gawn playing.

Hopefully the naming of Aaron Davey on a wing will mean he'll actually be put into the action.

If anything it adds a little pace to the midfield, something we've been lacking a bit of for the last few weeks.

Please DO NOT play Bate as the substitute!! Has not worked at all this season and will not work.

Who will be the sub? Not much pace on the bench at all really. No one that I can who will really take a game apart in the last quarter. Gysberts maybe? He has seemed tired lately. That's all I've got

Pretty harsh to drop Nicho. He was the only player to stand up to Chapman & he's dropped.

Didn't you see Dunn smack him a few times?

Nicholson needs to go work on his kicking and hopefully not turn into Simon Buckley mach II.

To think, dropping Jamar last year meant damage control so it's nice to be able to bring Gawn in now who can at least hold his own.

fantastic statement by viney, these too need to play at least 3 VERY good VFL games before id look at them again

not sure why we have 4 tall backmen when carlton only have 2 rotating ruckmen as a forwards plus walker, the rest are all small little shits

How i hate that little (c) next to Green's name, its the only thing keeping him in the team. Wish Viney had dropped him, would have loved to have seen him tug at his jumper down at Casey.

Happy with the changes, pathetic dud's like Maric out forever and lazy ***** like Jurrah get a rightful kick up the arse.

JMac and Gawn back pleases me the most.

In: Davey, Bartram, Scully, MacDonald, Gawn, Morton (chuck him in the guts, MAKE him go in to earn the footy)
Out: Get a dartboard, number the players 1-20 (with McKenzie and Watts left off), blindfold Todd, give him 6 darts, and whoever they land on is playing for Casey this week.
Got all 5 this week (I possibly went over the top by including Morton):thumbsu:

MAXIMUM GAWNAGE!!!

We get it, you don't like Brad Green.

Get over it.

Right now Rude likes Brad Green about as much as you like Wona33's score updates. :thumbsu:

Personally I can't see how anyone can 'like' Brad after the things he has done this year, and the way he has played (in more ways then just form).

He's allowed to have an opinion, and voice it.

What he meant was Nicho was the only player to go in for Dunn.

Dunn didn't stand up to Chappy, he was the reason Chappy needed standing up to.

I think the Sylvia and Nicholson decisions are interesting.

People criticise Sylvia's "defensive running" all the time. Yet he constantly turns out 6+ tackles, when our team average is probably 2.5/game.

Nicholson has been far from our worst, he has a crack and removing him from the backline leaves us too tall imo.

I can only hope that Green is on hard notice - "you're in the team on a week to week basis from here on in" sort of thing...

Will be interesting to see what happens.

there hasnt been too many players ive disliked in a melbourne jumper, but i really want him to retire everytime i see his soft as butter face.. worst captain in history of afl, should retire while he has a sceric of dignity

Tackling and 'defensive running' are not one and the same.

Implied pressure and pressure acts are just as important as tackling.

You don't even need to run defensively in order to get a high number of tackles, just be around congestion.

I've been critical of Green this year but the intense hate for him on here is bordering on ridiculous. Sure he's been terrible this year as both a captain and as a player but does this one year wipe away the last 10 so quickly? We all want to jump down his throat and pot him as often as we can but the way we continually go about it on here and talk about him is childish. Lots of you hate him - we get it. Even though this year hasn't been great for him he deserves better than this.

I'll no doubt be in the minority with this but I couldn't give a shit.

I definitely don't hate him, but he is no favorite of mine at the moment.

In reality he has only had one outstanding year as a player, maybe we are expecting too much of him.

I wasn't equating them, just making the point that dropping Sylvia elliminates roughly 10% of our teams tackles.

I'm not even saying I'm against the decision, just saying it's interesting.

I think if he has another shocker you will get your wish, definately only ahead of Sylvia because he is the captain.

How many times do I get things right? I was the 1 to rip into Sylvia, copped the usual abuse and look what's happened? GWS bound? One thing is for sure is that he won't be at the club next year.

Lucas Cook in Casey's reserves, that tells me that Pretendergast must be sacked. Even Cameron's early recruits were never this bad so early.

Who said it did? We are going on about this year and he deserves to cop it cos he has been terrible.

Once he retires then his career will be assesed. ATM he has had an inconsistant career. He started off well, then flatened out in the middle and his last couple of years have been really good until this year which has been his worst.

I would love to support a player that I know has been very good for us from start to finish. It looks like a pipe dream ATM.
