Yes, he is not the greatest player in the world and I admit he has played some average games, not shocking-average. But his ball use is elite and thats what the Dogs recruited him for, as well as his leadership. And I think because of his kicking style, when he makes a mistake, it really stands out. But his disposal is normally shit compared compared to some other players who consistently turn it over.
Elite. No. Murphy is Elite. Consistently hits targets. His kicking when it comes off is wow. But boy when it doesn't it doesn't in a big way. An Elite kick hits targets around the 85 to 90% mark for me under pressure or not.

Murphy stuffs up from time to time as well. Nobody is perfect. What annoys me though is that when Suckling gets the ball nobody runs to help take the easy get out option. When Jong gets it everybody runs close for the safe chip option. We shouldn't be making it hard for the guy.

I dont understand the number of people who are claiming Suckling has only had last night as his only bad game. I must be watching different games. His first game back from his ankle injury was poor and he has had at least one other shocker since plus the poor one last night. I think he should not be dropped and should get selected due to credits in the bank but i don't agree he has been poor only once this year.
I'm with you Mr Walker. I think next year people will be more onto Suckling like Hawks fans were. He has played some good games though but he has played a few equally bad. His good kicks are terrific but his poor hicks are more than just trying difficult kicks. He can be slightly lazy with his kicking,he often tries to kick around his body of half a step and he might show boat slightly knowing he is a good kick which all can lead to errors. There were reasons he was a fringe player at Hawthorn,a good fringe player though.

Any indications if Dahl is playing?
I have no idea but I know not to believe what the club says regarding injuries. I also don't believe them regarding Stringer,I also don't believe we know the full extent of Adams injury and I don't believe we will definitely be seeing Campbell back this year.

Dahl and Mc Lean meant to be back after the Geelong game. If you can believe that, because the club never seems to right with what they say about injuries. Stringer must be in doubt again. Adams still 3/4 weeks off. Campbell has stress fractures, be out for weeks.

How many weeks did they say Adams would be out originally, two? I doubt we will see Campbell again. Dahl was supposedly very minor and he was only going to miss a couple. Originally I didn't care, and posted as such. I just didn't believe the club and just patiently waited until I saw the players back. After last night I'm now not so sure, lying and playing silly buggers can put you at risk of being polaxed by the karma bus. We need to get back to the basics in every regard,on and off the field,we also need to start playing honest football and as such we need honest actions and behaviour to get what some would consider a train wreck weekend back on track.

Im with you darthbards. If they say a player will be out for one week I expect them to be out for 4. Supporters deserve better and to kept informed on injuries. Adams was first said to have had a sprain and be out 1/2. Now he has already been out 4. Who knows when he will come back?

Yep,and the supporters are the only ones theyre lying to. Other clubs know what's going down,it's not 1950. Don't all the clubs get their scans done at the same place, some clinic in Prahran. Even betting agencies know the truth and you often see markets change due to their knowledge of ins and outs.
Williams was also supposedly minor and only a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks later blind Freddy can still see he was still in a leg braise hobbling around. Hamling and Cordy being pulled from the seconds tells me not to many of the slightly injured players will be back next week at all.

And he had a shocker but he is in our top 10.

Strange how you have picked this bloke from pretty much day one,you called for him to be dropped weeks ago but watch other guys and think their endless errors are ok.

And I'm inconsistent lol

Honestly you blokes sooking about the club not being honest about injuries is pathetic

1- NO club is honest they all lie
2- clubs always give the best case when asked
3- the club does not have to give whiney supporters who think they own the joint every detail.
4- some injuries take longer than initially thought, players have set backs and some longer to heal than others.

He didn't even try
That was a disgrace

Garbage

No player goes out there and doesn't try.

After your comment last nite about him throwing the game you need a break mate.

How one bloke can contrive to throw an AFL game by himself is one of the most unbelievable things I've ever seen on here... And that's saying something.

Why should our game be immune?
It's happened in cricket , soccer , rugby, baseball, tennis, cycling, boxing,

6-7 weeks suckling could land a 60 meter kick on a moving 10 cent coin

So he somehow arranged to get another 14 blokes to play like potatoes also?

Come on man

The last time we met it didn't go the way of the Doggies. I upset a few on here imparting my views on the result, with many howling me down about how your side is decimated by injuries.

Well, whether or not that was the case before, I do not need to be donged on the head this time to say that your side is, very much, ravaged by injuries. I was hoping that the players missing from last time; Wood, JJ et al would be back to bolster the lineup in order to provide a decent contest.

Clearly, if you guys win it'll be considered a MASSIVE upset, whilst if you lose it'd be a formality given the injuries. Given the doom and gloom on here, I'd say that anything less than a 50 point loss would be considered a win?

Real classy mate

Come in here after last nite and out a veiled sarcastic slap comment down.

How bout you p!ss off back to the litter tray

We should have Stringer and Dahlhaus back. A 40 point loss would definitely not be considered a win; we are a proud team and club and won't be content with a loss. McLean may also be back. I don't believe our players, nor our coach will see this as anything but a chance to win.

Would you consider the 22 players you played against us earlier in the year as stronger or weaker than the prospective best 22 which will line up against us Friday night? I ask both from a talent and a structural perspective.

Okay, fair enough. Apologies for the offence, I was perhaps out of line. My observation is however, based on what I've read so fair in here, that no dog supporter is giving the side even a small chance.

What kind of satisfaction are you seeking to receive out of a post like this?
Are you looking for something along the lines of me thinking your midfield (besides Danger and Selwood) are a bunch of C graders who are some of the biggest down hill skiers in the game?

Is that what you were looking for?
