People extremely harsh on Dolan. Efforts, chasing and good positioning were all there, you can't teach those. Just needs that break out on the scoreboard. Most of our players couldn't hit a target inside 50 either, he can.

OUT: Cleary, JOD
IN: Buss, Khamis

Gallagher deserves to be dropped. But survives as we have no one else, and Clearly provided some run.
I agree on all counts but don't see Gags getting dropped anytime soon at least not until we get numbers back. I'd like to get Garcia into the team and want Arty Jones to start so maybe Doolan makes way (hate dropping kids after 1 game and specially ones I see a future with). I know both sides are coming of short breaks but conditions Saturday night under the roof and our game was much more physical than what Collingwood endured so we need players that can cover ground Friday night.

I actually completely forgot about Coffield - is he not an option to come in to defence now we've lost Cleary and JOD? Haven't seen how he's tracking so assume he must be well off the pace if we aren't even discussing him.

We had lot of average performers against North but with 2 more injuries Dolan is the only one I would drop. Maybe a player in the future but needs a lot.more development. Gallagher last chance to use the ball half decent. Hope the 2 second half goals spurs Sanders on he needs to be getting lot more of the ball as a midfielder.

Ins Garcia, Bus and Buku

Our Dolan. CLEARY and JOD

Curnow had 10 marks and 10 shots at goal how exactly is that "locking him up" we were lucky he kicked 3.7 and not 7.3
11/15 of Curnows disposals were from outside 40m and 9 were from outside 50m. We were not lucky he kicked 3.7, he shouldn't have taken the shots he did.

None of the shots were really in bad positions at all given he regularly kicks goals from outside 50 and they were all fairly central

Buku did well considering the circumstances but to suggest he pocketed a guy who had 10 scoring shots is wrong

What Lobb did to Jeremy Cameron the week after is what pocketing is

Completely agree that Buku didn't pocket him, I should've said that in my initial response. I'm more taking exception to you saying we were lucky, we weren't, Curnow was either selfish or Carlton weren't set up properly.

I don't know how regularly Charlie Curnow kicks goals from 50+ but I'd suggest it's not often enough to be attempting 5 in a game.

Hey Doggies fans. I hope you don’t mind this intrusion.
Congratulations on the 100 years, this should be a great game. Hoping we can spoil your celebration.

Just wondering why you would request this big game against us. Surely the Essendon scumbags are a more bitter and fitting rival for your anniversary.
Especially considering the fact they have been trying to get rid of you for 100 years.
No need to gift Essendon any more relevance. They haven’t earned it.

It’s absolute essential that we pinch 1/2 of the next few games. Hard assignment as Collingwood are now in form and Carlton will bounce back.

If we can get past round 6 with a minimum of 3wins 3losses then there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s not ideal but I’ve changed my mind about debuting buss. There is no way we can put him direct against Curnow in a fortnight’s time (Lobb will have to take McKay).

Probably going to have to go back to Gardiner.

Collingwood don't have a standout tall key forward, it was their trio of smalls that did the most damage vs Port. So we are probably better off being smaller and quicker down back this week. But Carlton worry me as they have two strong tall forwards and we have one tall big bodied defender left. Busslinger isn't strong enough yet, Gards error prone and Buku is not a key defender. Game will be decided by who can get the most run through the ground and use the ball more cleanly.

This will be the easiest game of the next 3. Speed is our strongest asset at the moment and Collingwood are generally quite slow.

Our games in recent times against Collingwood have been competitive. We're both doing the wider football community a favour.

Club have already done something with Essendon during the Pre Season

See if you got an email from the club about locking in a seat.
I’m banking on GA seats as well.

I had a look at upgrading my seat but I wasn’t going to pay an additional $60 each for a mediocre level 1 seat.

It’ll be a big crowd but there still has to be GA seating available in the pie stand on level 4.
