Salem can't come in for Harmes when Harmes is basically playing as a leadup forward option and Salem is going to play hbf/mid. The only outs for Salem would be Melksham or Wagner, Melksham was good last week but as much as I rate Salem I wouldn't mind if they made him play a week in the VFL.
Agree on the positional stuff. Still it convinced the coaches wouldn't do the move. I think they'll definitely stick with Melksham and Wagner. Interesting to see how they'll go as Salem is best 22.

Salem in for Bugg

Agree with this. Both Bugg and Harmes are practically doing the same thing at the moment, but Harmes is doing it better.

I agree, but just pointing out the position Salem plays and who could come out.

I've done some more thinking on why ANB could perhaps be more valuable than we originally thought. He smashed the time trials in preseason and has been playing that high half forward/mid role, and when you think about it we don't really have a lot of guys in the side renowned for their ability to run all day. It also pisses me the **** off when they persist with Bugg in this stupid forward role, I don't care if he is getting shots HE ISN'T A SKILLED PLAYER HE IS A ******* TAGGER **** IT IS SO STUPID THAT THEY KEEP DOING IT

edit - sorry just had to vent because they've been playing Bugg out of position for two seasons now and it is so ridiculous

I like Bugg, but if Kent wasn't playing so badly, Bugg would either be in the midfield or out of the team. Blame Kent.

JKH should be rewarded and come in for Bugg's spot as a half forward with Kent playing shite footy. Although Salem is far to classy to leave out of the side and he'll probably and should get first preference. Wouldn't mind both Salem and Stretch coming in, Collingwood aren't so good on the outside and neither are we. But of course there is only one foreseeable change i get the feeling Goodwin might just leave as is if Hogan and Gawn aren't ready

Salem MUST come back in.. Not only is his disposal key but some of his pressure/tackling work is first class.

Would be ridiculous leaving him out and having players like Bugg/ANB in the team.

Kennedy has been building form at Casey for ages. JKH stunk it up for three games, plays one good match, and people want him back?

Would love to see Gawn and Hogan run out together. Kennedy had a good game on QB last year but I don't know who he forces out of the side even if he's in form.

We haven't won at the MCG since the second day of April, and won't get another chance to play there until the last day of June. It's not quite as bad as 2013 when we weren't winning anywhere, but there wouldn't be too many other seasons (2013 inc) where we went 3 months without a win at the G

Elliot's been in good form recently, but also Collingwood have played Carlton, GWS, Brisbane, Hawthorn, and Freo (who are trash despite our best efforts to make the look like something else) in the past five weeks. I'll be disgusted if we go down on Monday, which means you can lock us in for a loss

In our defense, they were actually playing pretty reasonable footy for a 6-7 week period there, but they seem to have pulled up stumps on that effort. They still rely heavily on Sandi.

Otherwise, I'm happy for Collingwood to be brim full of confidence as they seem to be at the moment, because as you've rightly pointed out, their run on form isn't nearly as impressive as they seem to think.
