Playing Igbo is like sending in the night-watchman. Everyone knows he going to be sub-standard, but no one really cares because he's just there until someone better comes in.

Out: Clarke, D Pearce and Ibbotson

In: Taberner, Blakely and Morabito.

- With Clarke out, Apeness would be required to play as 2nd ruck to Sandilands. Taberner into the 2nd key forward role.

- Give Weller a go in D Pearce's role. Really make a concerted effort to bring him into to the game and utilise his skills. Sheridan to the forward flank to cover Weller as he seems to do better in a more attacking position.

- Morabito in for Ibbotson. Same role, just using a player with more attacking weapons and a functioning frontal lobe.

- Blakely in to the guts for the seniors, where he bloody well belongs.

In: That first quarter
Out: Lack of confidence and double guessing where to kick

Seriously our first half was good but got smashed by West Coast good zoning and our lack of confidence to kick long (which we lost every time we did that in the second half and that's why we played with the ball so often down back!!!!). Also Ballaz and Walters played poorly tbh.

Anyway Tabs for Clarke is a small backwards step IMO. I think De Boer or Muz played good enough in Peel to get a call up.

My possible changes:
Weller (rest) for De Pig. Weller had no presence and laid no tackles and De pig can add that against Adelaide.
Ibbo (rest) for Mora. Played pretty good in Peel this week in a similar role to Ibbo. However i see no real gain
Muz/Blakley could come in for someone as well. only because there is no Peel game this week as i don't think they wow'ed too much against East Perth but still played pretty well

Have a look through last weeks vote thread and you'll see that not everyone knows how sub-standard he is.

Must persist with Apeness but he was really poor in just getting to the contest.
Silvagni is a liability with ball in hand but both get games through default.

D. Pearce should be in the gun but won't be dropped but if Blakely can be asked to work on his kicking Pearce can go back surely.

Taberner, Morabito and Blakely could be considered.

DeBoer and Mzungu won't get any more games.

Clancee unlucky.

I don't usually try to suggest outs anymore.

Think DeBoer, Suban and Mzungu are all a big chance for Pav's last game be that a good thing or not.

This could get as ugly as our 1 goal game against Adelaide many years ago.

In: R Murphy
I was at that game. Yes one goal for whole game. I'd use appness and tabs as the spare ruckman and dropp Clarke. Mora had a very good game for peel V EP in for D Pearce . Mayne should play down back for last 3 games.

Taberner goes no where near the ruck please. I'd rather throw DeBoer in there again!

TBH the changes that I think will occur is
Outs Walter's possible suspension for high hit.
Langdon didn't do much
Clarke no loss what so ever.
Hughes just gets lost.
Ins Blakley , Taberner and Johnson.

Langdon directly caused three goals from turnovers. His 29 disposal effort the week before also involved plenty of bad kicks. I wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped to work on that. Weller didn't play with the intensity he has had for most of the year and probably needs a rest. Clarke, Langdon or Weller, Igbo out. Blakely, Tabs, Mora in is my tip.

Dont mind nyhuis replace ethan , he look a bit lost.

I'd like to see tabs in to play a Nick Riewoldt style game up the field off half forward and give Pav and Apeness a chance of some body on body making contests.

If Jacobs is still not right and we win a few clearances we could have a legitimate shot at not getting pumped by 10 goals.

Again all this "rest" stuff for Weller must be a joke. There is 3 rounds left in a season where all we can do is expose and develop our youngsters.

Ross was very pleased with his game along with Tucker and his disposal efficiency was nearly the top in the team at 86%. Also considering he has only been playing between 50-70% game time all year, the rest stuff is laughable.

Why would you keep Pearce in? He sucks

Pearce was bad - error prone, bombing the ball in for a turnover, and wandering in between players where he was ineffectual for most of the game.

But towards the end of the game he provided linkage and movement through the centre and actually looked good for a few seconds. Will this be enough? Probably

Yeah we had the same feeling. I was giving him some advice after 3 shanked kicks in a row and then he rakes up a heap of possessions in the last quarter. I would rather see Mayne in the backline than D Pearce or Sutcliffe, they are just to costly.

Ross, for the love of God, please please PLEASE drop Danyle Pearce. If our team is trying to emphasize improving kicking skills, this guy not only doesn't belong in our best 22, but doesn't belong on our playing list at all. On radio every time I heard Danyle Pearce getting involved with possession the announcers always, and I mean always, exclaimed either how poor the kick was or that there had been a turnover after he'd kick it. Watching on replay it was even worse. I can't stress enough how you know something is very, very wrong when you're livid that a player from YOUR team has possession of the footy.

Okay rant over,
IN: Morabito, Taberner, Blakely
OUT: Ibbotson, Clarke, D ****ing Pearce

Ins: Tabs, Blakely, Morabito (can't see him on the list next year but might as well give him a couple of games to see if hes got anything)

Outs: D. Pearce (even the ignorant Vic commentators are starting to pick up that hes a bit of a spud), Clarke, Ibbotson,

As an aside I hope we just sit Mayne in the back line for the rest of the season. Surely he's gone and he'll gain/maintain value better getting cheap possessions off half-back than missing crucial shots from 30m out.

Where has this sentiment come from on this board? It seems odd that he's starting to get some continuity and play some good footy and only now we get rid of him?

I haven't seen a lot of Mora this year but what I have seen I've been quite impressed by his attack on the ball in ariel contests and his ability the read the flight of the ball and provide a 3rd man up in contests

He provides more run than Ibbo and Spurr and as a bonus he can swap with Mundy into the midfield when needed or onto a wing!
