That's nice dear.
Yeh, I'm reasonably happy with the changes. Would have liked to see Adamson get upgraded and get a game, but it doesn't seem likely at this point.
Thanks. Probably why I don't remember him doing much in the first half then.He was tagging Zaharakis for the first half

Apparently I don't have a real life based on this![]()
Oh goody mate let's play that stupid internet tennis
Clearly you have an issue with someone asking a perceived silly questions ...you're perception
And dots.....
Been playing as a midfielder mostly. Looks strong over the ball and reasonably quick. The coaches are down on his disposal supposedly (yes the same coaches who played Priddis and McGinnity) but I don't think it's that bad.I'm too shit sacred to ask what is adamson like
All I know he's the ex baseball player. Shh bender might get upset if someone asks a question...don't tell anyone I said that ok ...shhhh...

I'm not saying he has been fantastic. He has been ok here and there and he has been shit here and there.
I'm not one to get hung up on disposal numbers. I mean how many players on the team are we expecting to get 20, 25, 30 possies? He is often playing on the number one forward. In that role his job is to neutralise them first. Ball coming in, put a body on them, which hopefully allows Gov to drift in and pick the ball off. In a 1 on 1, even the contest. Get a fist to the ball, see it over the line etc. Not many stats to bank in that sort of game. Now, 1v1 I think he struggles in the air, particularly close to goal but he can't be expected to be the guy playing the foiling role AND being the receiver and distributor of the ball. The thing is he has the speed and mobility over Emac and if you watch him, he does actually work hard off the ball to provide options. But if players have Hurn, Wellers, Gaff, Masten, Shuey etc as a viable outlet from the D50 who will they pick? One of those guys or Schoey? But his run, whether it's honoured or not is important. His spread is important because it draws opposition players and opens space. So he does provide run and spread. Not everything is about how many times you touch and dispose of the ball.
If Emac is back to some decent form and can carry it into the higher level I think I prefer him over Schoey. We have plenty of fleet footed and decent users of the ball in that area. We have been suspect in the air at times when McGovern isn't around and Schofield has had to neutralise a contest. I'm fairly confident Emac would win/even the majority of those, so I think it strengthens our overall defence.
yes he doesn't need to get the 25-30 touches a game and his role is to negate his forward. But like i have mentioned before the game has evolved from the day where your defender just focuses on his man. Teams now expect their KPD's to also get 13-16 times a game and offer a bit of run. Emac 2 years ago was one(if not the best) at locking his man down but he also provided some defensive run. He has 9 games in that year where he had 16+ disposals and also 9 games where he had 4 rebound 50's. Yes we do have a few players like shep, wellers, gov and bunga who run the ball out of defence but its still poor of schofield to be a link out of defence. I mean he is the perfect guy for it as well, he is probably the only KPD is the comp that genuinely break lines and takes the game on, yet we barely see it. Maybe once or twice we see some sort of spread from schofield. You look at Daniel Talia from adelaide. He was an old school backmen and crows fans used not want him have the ball in his hand. Now he not only shuts his man but averages 16 touches and 3 rebound 50's. They have viable and better outlets from defence than us. Blokes like laird, smith, lever, cheeny and mckay are their players that genrally take the ball out of defence from them.
yes i agree. schofield is a liability in the air. in fact, shep, wellers and hurn are better/reliable in the air than him. Hopefully emac regains some form for us soon. He is gun lockdown player but also reads the ball well and provides run out of defence. A real triple threat. I just can't see schoey being a huge part of the side next year. If emac gets back into his 2014 form, simmo might just chuck gov forward in certain games as we have emac and barrass and then have schofield as our second tall.
