My reason/opinions are always football. I rate Pickett as a player. The only reason he's in my bottom 3 is he frustrates me a because I feel like he makes the easy look very hard sometimes. He obviously has talent to burn but I do think he could bring his goal avg up to guys like Charlie Cameron. I think Pickett can be a multiple AA fwd pocket so I don't want it misconstrued as me saying I don't rate him.

I see it equivalent to me guarding Allen Iverson, 1 on 1, and him just standing there crossing over between his legs trying to shake me. When all he needs to do is fake left, go right and it's over.

He used to piss me off early days doing Hollywood shit when it wasn't necessary. He's calmed that down thankfully. I'm still probably more critical of him than I should be, I need to remind myself he plays in a very hard position to have the impact he is capable of week to week, especially when we are moving the ball slowly and he's needing to live off crumbing packs of 20 players. I'd probably lose interest occasionally also.

The faster we play the better it is for someone like Kozzy who can do a lot of damage when he gets some space to work with.
 
Kozzie kicked 40 in his second season and averages 1.3 goals a game. Charlie Cameron too until his 6th season to get past 30. Kozzies going to do it for the second time in his 3rd season.
Charlie Cameron averages 1.7 goals a game. Kozzies gonna fly past him quick smart.

Kozzie just needs to resume flying for hangers and actually take one and he'll be everyone's favourite. Sells himself short when he stops himself and we end up getting outmarked.
 
I hope the dogs fans who believe we have some obsession with them have been reading this thread the past few pages. Not even a year since the Grand Final and no one even cares enough to put any thought into the game this week

When I said Hollywood shit I more meant trying to tap the ball thru players legs and get by two blokes in front of him using multiple spin moves, he's welcome to fly for as many marks as he wants.

Yeah, I'm a bit the same. Consistently having to remind myself that he's playing a tough position and he'll often get the oppositions best small defender. I know this is getting off topic but in the next draft there's about 4-5 good small forward/medium forward options in the top 20. Do you think we'd ever draft one if they're best available? We look pretty good with Spargo n Pickett.

Ridiculous how many times this season he's nearly taken mark of the year and just lost it at the end.

Cameron plays in a far more forward friendly offense since he's been with Brisbane compared to his days in Adelaide IIRC.

Yeah I see it but think about the difference in Clarry and Trac from 50 games to now. Not that Koz will win the coaches association award but how much better his polish an decision making will be. Imagine him at 100 games. He already is near impossible to tackle, when his game sense catches up to his ability he could be anything

As always it depends how good they are when compared with the needs based picks. If we need a Key Forward but have to settle for a bloke who wouldn't be in the top 30 players picked in another draft then there is no point even bothering with them. Especially if that means we're passing on much higher potential. That's how you get Paddy McCartin > Petracca situations.

My point was old mate saying he should be more like Cameron, kozzies a way better player than Cameron at the same age.

In fact in a different era of footy it took Betts 5 years to kick 30 goals. Kozzy is a freak talent, to he doing what he's doing at his age in this era of footy is nuts

Dunno, tough to workout given how young we are with that style of player and Laurie cant currently get a game. Better chance its a KPF or outside mid id say.

I would like to put together a team of all the players I love. I haven't worked out the structure fully but it would have Weid, Kozzy, Omac, maybe Mundy?, Tommy Bugg, Stef Martin, Hogan. I'll chuck in Pederson, Russell Robertson as long as he doesn't sing and maybe Pavlich if they are prepared to do a few hill runs to get back into shape. Probably Sam Frost as well as long as he promises to roost one at a kick in straight down the centre. And Jeffy Garlett. I always liked him. And Rohan Bail
 
Kozzie just makes me smile, how can you not love him? Tries to take hangers, kicks insane goals, runs hard, belts opposition players, has no fear for a tiny bloke, does cool dance and trick moves, wears a headband, sometimes wears longsleeves, he does it all.

If we moved the footy like 2018 (or like Brissy) and played Kozzie deep he would kick 50+ in a year no issues. His combination of evasiveness, burst speed and gut running is unreal. Burgo mentioned him as one of the best athletes hes worked with in relation to pace/endurance combo.
