I go to WAFL games and some last season he carved up. You have watched very little of him yet think you know it all.

The irony is, I called Taberner shit within his first 10 games and it's rung true. I can absolutely guarantee Ed Langdon will be a Nick Suban or delisted by the time he's 26. The guy is just so bland.

We cannot have immediate high expectations on Apeness. It's good that Freo have thrown him in the deep end, hopefully he can play the season out before getting ready for a full preseason.

Pretty much this, he hasn't played in nearly 2 years after limited WAFL game time plus he's a tall prospect, look how long it's taking Taberner to develop. Even if he went pick 1 in the draft we can't have too high of an expectation of him.

I think it's clear as day the notion of WAFL form translating to AFL success is minimal. While Viv Michie and Jacob Ballard I believe were stunted (especially Michie) from playing far too much WAFL and not given the respect of a call up, you only have to look at the frustrating cycle of the Dockers website talking up Mzungu's 37 touches and four goals before he has a standard day out in the AFL the next weekend. I also heard dozens of people on this forum say Weller wasn't ready. Weller has come in 12 months too late and has been consistently in our top six or seven players. There are plenty of reasons the WAFL is easier than the AFL, and putting any credence in Langdon's WAFL form is highly selective – you might as well say Suban deserves a match for Freo every weekend because he carves it up in the VFL.

Of course this post will be neglected and picked apart, but this argument is so flawed.

Langdon is bog average. Goes missing for almost the entire game, he is basically just another Sheridan in terms of being incredibly bland and missing any essential killer skill or trait. I go to games and basically have no idea the guy is out there.

You couldn't miss him last week. He was the player who had a Saint hold onto his leg to trip him in our goal square and be penalized for dropping the ball. Would have given him three goals if the match fix wasn't on.

But you must have based your assessment of Michie and Ballard on their WAFL numbers because they played very little senior game time. If you haven't watched a Peel game then your assessment must have been based on game stats.
