Freo were cooked and never looked like coming back. Pav normally kicks from 50 easily, but sadly that's the Pav we all grew up with. This season Pav is just one season too far.

I agree with you, if Tabs kicks that which he obviously should've we were still half a chance but Pav's miss was more crucial. He kicks that, I reckon we win.

I disagree - the momentum is everything in the modern game. If Pav had goaled we would have had the momemtum.

No, just no. He deserves a full season as well as a few wins with the younger midfield. He gets to go out on his own terms, and needs 6 more games to be a 350 gamer. He deserves that at the very least. Taberner is working well off him just a few more marks and goals here and there and Pav isn't too bad. Ballas/Mayne have been even more useless then him at times. Where was Ballas around the packs when we needed something ? He's missing big time

The only two things we can salvage out of 2016 is a high draft pick or two and getting precious game time into the next generation.

100% spot on. Why on earth can't we play the old Pagan's paddock routine with Pav and just leave him as a stay at home forward, no matter what the state of the play. He is wasted backwards of centre because he isn't quick enough to track back into space ahead of his man, nor is he quick enough these days to make a meaningful impact as a pressure player around the defensive 50. He is clever enough and has the guile however to outmaneuver/outwit a player one on one with a decent kick to advantage.
